  1. Yeah seen them on eBay 200 delivered. I've only used the stihl ones tho, and can't help but think that 30 quid could be spent elsewhere!
  2. Looking at buying a blower just a hand held type. What do people think of the husky ones? Or should I stop skimping on 30 quid an get a bg86? Cheers guys.
  3. Not to bothered 6" towed one just be doin some conifers with it. Cheers mike
  4. after a chipper for a days hire for a job in leeds, would prefer that area but could get it from north manchester area. thanks mike
  5. Why not just get a small winch and fasten it on to a tow eye and some croc cables to the battery, be surprised how little it'd take to unstuck it. Probably a ton or ton and half would do it. Mogs are ok till they get stuck then they are really stuck!!!
  6. does anyone remember the top gear years ago where they were testin all these fancy 4x4's on a slippy slope then came up in an old landy which p****d it!
  7. Agree. One of the few films I went out to buy. Even bought the book, tho I've never read it. To think it's a true (if slighty dramatised) story makes you think what soldiers are going through.
  8. 3 months on still looking. May be able to get some references from people I've worked for on here if needed. Cheers mike.
  9. Jonesue thanks for the offer pm sent. Unfortunately I havnt got any old pairs left, and if I went into my local stihl dealer he probably wouldn't know they made chainsaw trousers.

  14. What's that doing mozza? Sky installations? Got to have a laugh at the benefits one, tho to make it worthwile I'd reckon you need a least four kids!!!
  15. I'm thinking of going training for some other type of work, seeing as how finding work is so difficult at the moment an can't see it getting any better. I'm looking for some ideas/suggestions what people on here would do , preferably outdoor type of work. Look forward to some suggestions.

  22. bought a pair of new ultrafits in a small an they were too small so sent them back and got a medium instead, got em today and there a little long and just generally a bit "baggy", comparing to my hiflex ive got at the moment which are a nice close fit, not sure wether to send them back an get some hiflex's instead or keep them, they do seem better with better pockets an possibly better outer material. what do people think?
  23. my dad works with people with learning difficulties, he basically takes them out for the day one on one. other day in manchester he's out with one of these lads, who are generally quite young 20's-30's. (my dad being mid 60's). when in a bus station, the lad turns on him, no real reason just one of them things, got to remember these people are basically "mental". well dad suffered a cut nose black eye and various scratches. do you think anyone came to help? no! i have to wonder wether the cause of people not helping more is due to press coverage of people getting injured/killed in these circumstances, take the Newlove story for example, what effect has that had on people standing up to these wasters.
