  1. We dont talk about Police sunglasses.... Yes Recceboy, a '94 300TDI she's a good old girl... Did an interview for the local radio this morning and doing another one for BBC Radio Scotland on Thursday.
  2. I’ve signed up with the advertising agreement on YouTube, your paid per-click so feel free to click on the link and watch or better still – copy and paste the link to your Facebook profiles. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqmgfpDlXBM]YouTube - Sometimes its the simple things in life that make you smile[/ame] Might be able to afford another chunk of coal for the fire then…
  3. Didn’t get paid a penny mate. Oh, and get out a little more Dave.
  4. You wait till yours starts to fall out.... ......and the ladieeees love it.
  5. I’m not sure Tom, I’d be surprised as it was in them all apart from the Sun, Daily Stay and the Guardian. They don’t tell you anything - haven’t even spoken to a reporter, just the agencies that kept ringing up while we were pollarding the Oak; I turned the phone off in the end – was driving me mad!
  6. It was my new climber on his first job for me - Tom Murry, I think he's a member on here - well done Tom, top job!!
  7. Who’d have thought a little robin could cause such a stir! Guess I’ve had my 15 minuets, wonder what’s next…? Touching pictures of the robin who adopted a tree surgeon and visits him every day for lunch | Mail Online
  8. You'll be sick of this story (if you aren't already) Touching pictures of the robin who adopted a tree surgeon and visits him every day for lunch | Mail Online
  9. Bugger-all! (have to pick your tree a little though)
  10. This was a complete ‘pollard’ on a fire damaged Oak from this morning. It’s going to be one ugly tree for a while.
  11. The Hancock’s Lowering Device (about as technical as I get)
  12. Its not me they’re interested in mate! This’ll make you laugh – one of the reporters was asking 100 questions over the phone (usual sort of stuff) then he asked ‘does the robin have any distinguishable features?’ ‘Yes’ I replied ‘He has a tattoo marked Robbie on his right wing and of course a chuffing red breast’ Reporters, I ask you!!
  13. Roger that Tom. I ended up picking an agency that didn’t offer money. Sounds insane but you have to watch your back here in L/A land. Good idea though, with I thought of that earlier!
  14. That looks sweet! Well done -
  15. Good story Dean Did you get anything for it (apart from the fame)
  16. What I day I’ve had! The robin story was run in the local paper today, all well and good (good bit of publicity for the L/A). The phone started ringing at 9am and hasn’t stopped all day – I’ve got 5 news paper agencies chasing me for the story! Our tame robin?s such a handsome little chap - video (From Worcester News) Meeting one of them tomorrow morning as some of the nationals want to run the story on Saturday, I’ll try and give Arbtalk a mention if I can….
  17. Looks a lovely job! If you get any after next week - shout and i'll come over with my camera.
  18. Dean, you’ve got to have a break mate – you’ll come back feeling good and refreshed, surely?
  19. Guess it’s a little different for me (being L/A). Just glad to get away, forget about the politics and relax.
  20. For the invertebrates (left myself wide-open there, fair-play)
  21. How much time off are you guys having this Christmas? I didn’t have a summer holiday this year so I’m planning a good long break over the festive period, three weeks in total. I’ll be off down the wood doing the annual coppice but apart from that don’t intend on picking anything that uses 2-stroke.
  22. I’d imagine a Birch overlay was put over a model which would effectively wrap her in a ‘birch skin’, then the finished picture was just placed in front a suitable tree. Very clever! If it were real i'd have been up there drilling a little hole in the tree!
