  1. Three from tonight (20th. April 2010) Keep 'em coming!
  2. Will do! Sorry dude, that’s a right bummer!
  3. Well spotted, yes it is. I’ve always ridden 42/53 and this is the first venture into compacts. All seems well so far (when I drop down from the big ring I now drop down two cogs and all seems well) On the old set up I’d just drop it down one.
  4. Nothing mate, bugger all! Just use a lower gear now.
  5. Haha, yet agin a asked for that, nice one! Just remember your catching me up ;-)
  6. Got the old J40 out for Josh for the 1st time today, amazing to think I used to pedal this vary same car!
  7. Titanium with mudguards no less!! Lol I’ve got a Ti mountain bike and just like the ride and feel, plus it won’t ever rust and is near impossible to scratch. I’m off to see the kiddies now (no ice creams for them today, cant afford them!), catch you later..
  8. It does and it doesn’t mate. I get my enjoyment out of the whole ‘bike experience’ – the research into the frame, the components, the wheels, and the actual purchasing of the thing, and then the ride. The frame on this one was actually a compromise, I would have loved a Merlin but they were just that little but too expensive. This should ride the same and have more or less the same feel on the road – just wont have the ‘label’. Personally I wouldn’t enjoy riding a £500 bike as much as riding a £2000 bike, even though the £500 one is probably just as fast and agile but maybe just a little bit heavier. I guess we all work hard and enjoy seeing the fruits now and again!
  9. I had to Google that to get the joke mate! Must be my age, or is it your rather un-healthy interest in teen music…?
  10. Mick is a legend mate! I used to be well into it but had a winter lay-off because my knees are giving up the ghost. I’ll be cycling into work, which is a round trip of about 30 miles. On a Sunday I’ll go out and knock-up about 40 or so. I’ve been a roadie, done all the ball-breaking training in the past – now I just enjoy it.
  11. Collected the new winter/commuting/training bike yesterday and just come back from its first Sunday morning ride. I’m well impressed with it, just need to get a few miles in the legs now….
  12. I’d make sure I list it on the quotation as traffic control (and not just absorb the cost in the price) That way the punter will hopefully see you’re a professional and not do with the cow-boys….
  13. Cheers buddy- Nice One! I'd say (without looking in the handbook, which is out in the truck) that yes, you would need lights, I use a traffic management company as they set up everything for approx £350-£400. Thanks again
  14. How wide is the road? How wide is your truck? What percentage of the highway will you be blocking?
  15. Lovely mate! Are you getting all this volcanic dust/ash floating down? The news is full of it tonight.
  16. ‘tiz a lovely ‘room that!
  17. That’ll stop everyone from posting now – stunning !!
  18. Here are my two from tonight, not far-away exotic places, just plain old Worcestershire….
  19. I know your teasing my friend but who the **** called it a hazard beam?
  20. Some stunning pictures in here! I’ll nip out again tonight to try and better yesterday’s effort.
  21. Good-luck in your quest my friend. I can’t think of a nicer chap to work for – if I wasn’t so institutionalised I might have been tempted!
  22. Wow! Mine looks rubbish now...lol
