Hi All Well, we have landed back from the APF, knackered and aching, but we had a good show. I would personally like to thank all the organisers who did an excellent job and kept a smile despite the loss of one of their fellow workers during set up. Also to all the people who attended the show; I hope you had a good time, without you there would be no show (and I hope you got a bargain or two!). My staff and the reps we had on our stand were by far the best team we have ever taken, so a massive public thank you to all of you. You are a crucial part of our success and should be very proud of yourselves. We were ready on time and had a great show, despite the thieving:thumbdown: that we caught once again by my excellent security guys. To those of you we caught - we have you on CCTV and your colleges will be informed. I'm off now to wade through paperwork and spend a week unloading and sorting.

We will have some special prices on some kit at the show. Ive got some real bargins on the stand and over half the stock is discounted beyond the website. Also a lot of added throw ins with some kit. The stand is almost ready, i will try and get some pics up later. Come and have a look, you cant miss us we are the ones with the 45 metre marquee. We even had to put skylights in so its not to dark inside.

Hi All I've just been let down by one temp member of staff for the show. I need someone for Monday morning - Saturday about 9pm. You will need to be with us for 8am tomorrow and be able to camp on site with 10 other staff for the duration. I have a spare tent and bed. No need for any arb experience but strong and fit essential. The first 3 days will be setting up, so a lot of box shifting, pricing etc... The next 3 days are looking after the stand, keeping it tidy, restocking, and helping out wherever needed. And then breaking the stand down at the end. If you are interested please give Justin a call on 07947 533696. I will discuss pay over the phone, it's a laboring job so no need of any experience, but you will learn a lot just being there. I'm leaving for the show now (Sunday 2PM). If you want to get there tonight I'll take you out for a curry and a few beers. So please don't respond here as I won't see it. Cheers all. Justin.

I'll be there from the Sunday setting up our stand. Once again I've gone overboard and booked a 45m long marque and 18 staff. We are doing something a bit different this year with the stand, so pop in and say hello.

No We can only buy the 550 & 560 from Husqvarna in a 15". So every one that orders a 13" or 18" machine we have to order the bar separate and put the 15" bar & chain on the shelf. I'm now tripping over them again.

Unfortunately saws wont be on as it will be far to expensive. With new chains and a full saftey kit for every hire. I think its going to be about a month to get it all sorted and up and running.

Delivery and collection will be at a small extra charge depending on location. But will be able to be collected from over 100 local branches.

For a sub 750kg 6" chipper (TW150 or Greenmech Quadchip) £150 per day including insurance. Or £400 for a week.

Lead times would be normally next day as long as ones available in your area. This I will learn over time, and if the demands there increase the holding of that machine.

We are considering offering a national hire service where we deliver machinery and/ or equipment to your door or place of work then collect it from you when you're done! In true Jones and Son fashion, we would offer extremely competitive rates and supply anything from brushcutters and chippers to chapter 8 kits and scaffold towers AND even welfare units! As ever, your feedback on this would be very much appreciated as this would be a massive move for us. And if you do hire on a regular or semi-regular basis, then let us know what you use and we'll make sure it's added to our fleet!
