1. Bit short notice, but doe's anyone on here have or know of any one that can hire me some temproary tracking. It's to go in the fields for our show to stop the vehicles sinking and chewing up the ground.
2. Got them, didn't go off they new things I didn't. Can't happen again you can't fart in there now without a sensor seeing it. It might mean a few false alarms a year, but at least I'll get there within 5 mins. Good job I didn't get the message as there was a few of them and only me, would have been a bit unfair.. they would have needed more.
3. Cheers all. Don't think it's sunk in yet. It was Honeys that got done about 3 years ago before the AA show, not us that time.
4. Just to let you all know it was our turn last night, we had a major break in and had over 200 machines stolen from one of our units. Mainly Stihl every model of chainsaw, hand held blowers, hedge cutters, and kombi systems. If you here of anything please PM me. We are trying to process all the orders as normal but there may be a slight delay. The show will still go ahead without a hitch, and we now have a security team staying there overnight until the place is secure again. Look your gear up and keep your eyes peeled. Cheers, Justin.
5. Found some slightly damp ground to day with a dumper.
6. Well what a crap day I've had, went to the site of the show and guess what? We can't use part of one of the fields for the show - it's too wet to drive across. So, after about 3 hours of re-measuring and shuffling around, I've managed to squeeze everyone back in. What a panic, had to get the web monkey (missus) down to redo the plan online, but I refuse to give up and cancel the show (not a dig at Arbfest, they had it a lot worse than me). All the plots are now cut out and ready and a bridge has been built over the drainage ditch - after all the worry from this morning it actually looks good. The camping area has changed places, I've had over 40 bookings for tents so I don't think they would have all fitted in the other area anyway. The only very slight downside is you will need to carry your camping gear to the camping area. Don't worry, though, we will have some trolleys and plenty of helpers to help get your gear over. For those of you sleeping in campers or vehicles we will have a dedicated area for this too. I've also made sure we have a marquee next to the bar for the Friday evening, in case it rains. I've actually got a smile now as I'm typing this; after all the stress of today, it's looking good. Check out the new show layout here: www.frjonesandson.co.uk/show/show-plan/
7. Honestly, not easy in a marquee. Problems are, hot knife, heat gun, ingraving tool etc... and most of all I need to keep my mind on what I'm doing and not being called away). Also I hope we will be to busy to do one anyway. What you can do is bring it down and book it in with us and we will post it back to you by Tuesday/Wednesday, if that helps. :001_smile:
8. All ok on the tents and yes no problem getting in Friday evening. Looking forward to it now. We are just in the middle of sorting out an update and will post it as soon as we are done.
9. Really feel for you all the people involved in putting this together, you must be gutted. The only thing you can't book is the weather, I hope the rescheduled date is a success and everyone can make it. I will try and be there. I know just how much goes into setting up a show, it must have been a very hard decision to make, and I know if it could have gone ahead you would have made it happen.
10. I've had a couple of emails and Richard from KTS has had a few phone calls asking if the show has been cancelled. I think some people are getting confused with the ArbFest show, unfortunately their show has had to be postponed due to severe weather and flooding. The Arb and Forestry event is still very much on, luckily we have not had anywhere near as much rain in the south east as up north. I hope the weather is not going to put people off and we look forward to seeing you all there.
11. If the AA are interested then we can help.
12. Thanks mate, positive feedback always welcome. If you make it to the show and do a climb on the Help For Hero tree, I'll buy you a pint.
13. We have about 8 Makitas in the workshop, and get on fine with them.
14. As long as you pick up the mess and keep on a leash.
15. No at the party in the evening, bar, food, bonfire, music, and of course the legend that is Mark Bolam.
16. Come on you lot, lets get some names down for the Arbtalk table in the evening. I remember back in the day at the first Arbtalk meet we had about 20 people there, had a great laugh and a few beers. Lets see if we can double that for this one. Get you name down so we know who you are and be part of it.
17. We now have over 45 confirmed companies coming and still a few plots left to be confirmed, as well as a bar, food and a massive fire for the Friday evening. Don't forger it's free to enter, the talks are free and the camping is free. So you should be there I want to make this the biggest Arbtalk meet and annual show of the year. 19. Looking good now over 30 tents are already booked in, it looks like it going to be a good evening. Can I count on you for some entertainment Mr Bolam as in previous years. I'll buy you a few to get you on your way. Don't forget to book in advance for the 3ATC that way you will get a goddie bag with £30 worth of stuff for the £10 entry fee. Even I might have a go
20. Sorry forgot the image. Not bad for a tenner, and you get the chance to win some top prizes.
21. Stein have kindly donated a Goodie bag worth £30.00 to everyone that pre books for the event. At a cost of only £10 to enter, you may as well have a go. Over £2000 of prizes have been donated by sponsors ISC, Lyon Equipment, Sawpod, Silky and Tip Master, but even for the kudos alone, it’s got to be worth having a go! Download a booking for here. http://www.3atc.com/_client/uploaded/brochure/2012_Open_Entry_Form2.pdf For full info check it out here. 3ATC Competition | F R Jones and Son
22. That's my kitchen, so I hope you got it from me.
23. If you make one your welcome to show it off at our show.
24. I'm going to see if we can set up a system that we will have full control of from the ground so a novice can have a go.
25. Try now.
