  1. Quoted me £27,700:001_tongue:
  2. :001_tongue:Dont bother cutting it down Dean, stick it on your landy as it is you can always start doing removals if the tree side of things goes slack:001_tongue:
  3. Yes on 242 rims, Costco of all places, it seems they do tyres as well!!
  4. Yep he does get thru a few tyres, Mich XMA`s as well £575 a corner!! Does tree work in Skye, Inverness and SW London and a bit in Southern Spain- but the mog hasnt been there yet!!
  5. As you both well know, its not the size of your equiptment, its what you do with it that counts:001_tongue:
  6. Tis a good mog that one, anything that can do a 1200 mile round trip each month plus day to day driving around and chipping cant be too bad
  7. Yes mate it is Nomads old one, big old chip box on it, going to refurb it when he has a slack spell, the galvanised sheeting is starting to rust quite badly in places.
  8. Just thought i should post a couple pictures of my mates Mog resting in the Wimbledon Sunshine. He lives on Skye and drives the mog to and from Skye to Wimbledon every few weeks to work down here, round trip of about 1200 miles:scared1: Knowing Skyhuck might look at this the 3rd picture is for him:001:001_smile:
  9. Two different chippers, single axle 4 pot perkins, twin axle 6 pot john deer
  10. 22 x25 inch opening, will do 20inch log or unsuspecting member of ones ground crew!
  11. Sorry forgot to add pics
  12. I also used to run LWB mogs towing big chippers, just the job for getting rid of lazy groundies:scared1:
  13. Our 530t did the same thing, worn hydrauilic pump was cavitating the oil, causing it to foam up and spurt out the breather hole- New pump from Border Hydraulics £140 problem solved
  14. Does the oil spurt out of the little breather hole in the top of the fillercap when machine is running?
  15. Spot on SWB you dont know whether it will work untill you try it! Found a Morbark with a shot engine cheap, have a weekend weld-up and see what turns out.
  16. :001_cool:I have no idea what im doing mate but do like to have a go nevertheless:001_smile:
  17. He is the first one i did 10 years ago
  18. Tp is fine on front, has normal pto shaft so alignment is no problem. We put a Farmi 260 on front of a mog and close coupled, the back of the chipper housing was 8" from the mogs bumper just use a Fennerflex coupling to sort out alignment. Probably going for a Morbark drum unit and mod it to suit.
  19. This is what we have built over the last few months. Purchased mog off a mate as a chassis cab before Christmas and built the tipping subframe and chipbox ourselves, Has a 10" TP on front at moment but are going to replace it with a 14" drum chipper. Building a trailer for it at the moment and looking to get a crane for the trailer.
  20. Ok, bit of paperwork to make you happy mate:001_smile:
  21. Couple of this go down a treat at the end of the week:001_tongue:
  22. I Know from bitter experiance the financial cost of not having an "O" licence, the Area Traffic Office will even send someone to meet you and help fill out the forms.
  23. Operators Licences are quite simple to get, contact your local Area Traffic Office, they will send you out the forms to fill in, get a suitable yard to keep the truck at, make sure you have enough funds in bank to maintain the truck( Need to show copy of bank statement or a letter from your bank manager), keep vehicle maintenance records(You can maintain the vehicle yourself, dont need service contracts), and then happily sail past the other Tree Boys in their overloaded little trucks
  24. Which bit is broken, the lower axle unit or the upper hydrostat unit?
