  1. Could’ve, would’ve, should’ve! Wordle 1,094 4/6 ⬛🟩🟩⬛⬛ 🟩🟩🟩⬛⬛ 🟩🟩🟩⬛⬛ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  2. Good job for him you didn’t start a thread about it. 🤪
  3. @AHPP It has to be renewed every year. 30 practice shots at the range that has to be over two different days. This is recorded on a National Register. Once there has been two authorised sessions of practice shots you can then sit the test. The test is only for “Storvilt” I.e big game. You must pass the test for each calibre you wish to use that season. Once passed it is recorded digitally on the electronic register. The test is 100m, you must get 5 shots in a 30cm circle representing the kill zone. Miss one and the test is a fail. No aids like a bipod or resting on anything. Sitting, kneeling, standing or prone. Only thing to help is not to drink too much caffeine. 🤪 They allow a shooters strop as an aid or you can use the shoulder strap. I did the first 15 shots the other day and then an extra 10 with my .223. 25 shots, 24 in the black and one flyer which was half in the outer black and inner white ring. Questionable ammo that one. 😂
  4. Correct. That and the fact as Mike pointed out. It makes you look dapper.
  5. I did the first fifteen of my training shots last Wednesday. 6.5x55, not shot it since last year but did drop it one day. Still zero’d thankfully. So pretty happy with the practice shots. Back again for the next 15 this Wednesday coming and then do the test with the .223 and 6.5x55.
  6. I worked for a company, years ago. The boss would quote for 8 hours onsite. He expected the boys to be at the yard for 0730. Yet sometimes he had promised the customer we would be there for 0800, and it was a 45 minute to 1 hour drive to site. I once asked him if we could start earlier to get shit ready for the day but his response was he had always started at that time. The main problem for me was I had two young kids at the time in childcare. We wouldn’t get back to the yard and leave till 1700. I rarely made it back on time and had a few fines. Plus it wasn’t fair in the kids. We fell out a few times over it and when I gave my reasoning he said pay for more childcare. I lost it at that point as I didn’t think I was taking the piss to want to spend an hour with my kids before they went to bed at 1900. This main gripe I had was this bloke was a devout Christian. Christian, my arse!

  8. A different way to view the conflict. Consider this.. Russia is advancing and taking more Ukrainian territory. The West: We need to send more arms to Ukraine and spend more money on the Military War Machine. Ukrainian forces are almost at the point of defeating the Russians. The West: We need to send more arms to Ukraine and spend more money on the Military War Machine to finally finish off the Russian advance. All scenarios lead to tax dollars being spent from the Ukrainian supporting countries. The Military war machine gets richer.
  9. Ever thought that the propaganda from either side has ulterior motives? War is good for business.

  11. No idea what that is but I did find this in my house the other day. Almost dead but a decent size. I think it is just a regular Hornet but can anyone confirm?
  12. Same here. Thought I was gonna have to visit the secret web page.

  16. Agree entirely. He made a career out of fighting lesser opponents and that right hand. I have never cosidered him a good boxer. Sore loser, to boot. He needs to retire and concentrate on leg day. Glad Dubois won though.
  17. This may be an option. When I moved to Norway I came in initially as an EU Citizen with the right to work. Brexit hadn’t happened at that point. There was so much bureaucracy and BS that in the end I came in as the Father of a repatriated family. My girlfriend was Norwegian and both our kids were Norwegian citizens and had Norwegian Passports. Dual citizenship actually. Maybe there is a similar option for yourself? Initially you are an EU citizen from Germany. Although the UK isn’t in the EU anymore your wife is a British citizen. So she should be allowed to move back, no problem - with you as the husband and father of the kids. Good look with the move.

Far from an expert in these things but I will share this. The area I grew up in the North East had HV cables towards the far end of our estate. They were horrendously noisy in the damp weather. I had three school friends who lived almost directly under the cables. They were at least within 100m of the towers. Of these three families. My friend had testicular cancer when he was around 18, his father also had cancer. The kid over the road, his father died of cancer. My friend Caroline passed away in 2000 from an aggressive for of Leukemia and her brother also had some form of childhood cancer. Another family friend lost their son at 18 years old. They lived a few roads away but in the vicinity of the lines. I don't know of the other families in the area but that was enough for me to not want to live anywhere near the cables. We used to hang out at the youth club which were directly below the lines. The noise and humming/crackling was really noticeable but we didn't think anything of it. It was the 80/s after all. But looking back and knowing what I know about the families is enough for me.

  20. What evidence do they have of DED? we deal with it a lot in Norway and that doesn’t look that bad. Obviously it is hard to determine exactly from a couple of picture. Are there limbs that are dying off, going brown? Have they seen evidence of the beetle? If there are dying limbs they can be pruned out but it is best not to cut into live wood when the temps are over 20c. That is when the beetle is active. So if surrounding trees are affected by DED there is a high chance the beetle work move into the tree in your property.
  21. BIt słów here in Norway. Usually this time of year is boom due to the weather and a lot of public holidays means people look at their garden and surrounding areas and make decisions. I have had 3 or 4 enquiries recently and got back to them in decent time. Only to be told someone has already been and they have decided to go with them. C'est la vie. Apart from the fact I haven't really heard or seen half the companies mentioned before. There have been a lot of restrictions brought in around the Oslo area in recent years. The area i live is still restriction free and it seems many people are trying to get around the lack of paperwork requirements and want to earn a quick buck.
  22. That’s to sell the fight though. Surely you know that. Remember the press only really show the shit that gets bums on seats. I have seen him be pretty humble in interviews and also making the daft comments. Remember he is Bi Polar 🙄 Watch the post fight press conference. Very humble. I honestly don’t think to much should be said about his comments. As Frank Warren said, any other sport, it finished and then the athletes compose themselves and go out to interviews. Boxers knock the shades out of each other. Then are expected to give and interview straight after. Joe Rogan refuses to interview losers in UFC fights if they have had TKO or KO’s. They aren’t thinking straight and some proper daft comments come out.
  23. mate, imagine the adrenaline. And the fact he had his bell seriously ‘rung’. Not thinking straight, don’t take it too seriously.
  24. Nearly shot my load, first guess! Wordle 1,062 2/6 🟩🟨🟩⬛🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
