I disagree I have cleaned and waxed boots and got 12 months out of them.Had another pair never cleaned at all and got 12 month out of them,so why waste time and wax? My haix stay water proof without wax and always fail on the rubber sole after 12 months, so cleaning would not help IMO.:wave:

I agree to the right to amenity to a point,but it is some what unfair to make someone keep and maintain something they don't want for the benefit of others really if something is being "preserved" for all there should be some form of compensations or reward for the owner,IMO, with art works the museum must pay the owner for it,it not free. I suppose I just ain't no communist.

Mr Carrol was stopped because he was disturbing his neighbours which is taking something from them he has no right to take,there peace. Listed buildings, etc are same as TPO. If you cause the dog pain thats not permitted, you can kill the dog. Does a tree feel pain?

OK, 1.The car is yours,not the pavement or the road,you can drive as you wish on your own land. 2. You can demolish your own house if you wish,you cannot "extend a tree". 3.A Pet is a conscious creature which feels pain,you could if you so wished have you dog put down and then BBQ it for your tea. :wave:

I think the owner has the right to do what he wants with HIS tree,why should he lay awake at night worrying about his tree (and no one on here would have given him a written grantee that it would not fail) I bet it looks great when in leaf. I for one would have done the job if asked,I would of explained all the down sides to topping and lopping(which lets be honest is what been done)and tell him it would need to be maintained. I don't think it looks as good as an untopped tree,but IMO is way better than a newly planted tree or no tree,this is as ever only my personal view :wave:

Take them back! I had a pair of Otter boot,years back,from one of the suppliers the fell apart after 4 months,I rang them they sent me a new pair and collected the old,they rang to say I had not looked after the boots properly so had to pay for them,I said no way, come and collect them and I will never buy from you again,they did not collect them:icon14:
