  5. I think he was suggesting lowering the demand for bio-fuel,then we would have enough land
  6. When i get customers saying this i just say,no problem you pay me to fell the tree and clear the brash and I'll leave you the timber,then you can sell the timber and get your money back or ever make a profit if it worth as much as you think I wonder if thats whats happened here?

    Very true!!! But I think the only other saws he had available were husqvarna so the 66 was the way to go.
  8. And that ain't no trim:scared:
  9. He was using a rear handled saw one handed,main anchor point to low,no second anchor.........you could go on,and on,and on
  10. I wouldn't fall like that!!!!!!!!!:scared::scared:
  11. Going out later with some Friends,so just had two packets of prawn cocktail crisps and a pint of Murphy's,to put me on.
  12. Now thats what i call a stump grinder,but access may be an issue!!!!!!!!!
  13. And would now sink,i think, LOL!!!!
  14. If a Ltd Co goes bump on you,your stuffed,they simply set their wife up as director and start a new Co,and you cannot touch their personal assets. The only time I've not got paid was a Ltd Co,they owed me £900+vat,I got a letter from the receiver to say they had gone bust they walked away from £250,000 worth of debt and never even stopped trading in real terms,they just transfered every thing into a new Co in their wives names,added UK to the old Co name and carried on,they even built the bungalow on the site i had cleared for them!!! Where did you get the figure of 99% from? I think your miles off. Most of us who are small Ltd Co's went Ltd to get tax free dividends,which were ended in 2005.
  15. Rock climbing is very different,its almost 2D so the rope only tends to go in one direction unlike working a tree which is very 3D IMO :wave:
  16. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love the way the hat flies of and the saw plummets a second or so later LOL :wave:
  17. Nice one pecon,i was hoping thats what you had in mind,some of use are experienced but some what "old school",I'm keen to try some of these "new fangled techniques" I was thinking of getting a hitch-climber before the day and also wondered if any one could recommend a good cord for a VT etc and what length? Cheers Dave:icon14:
  18. I would say it down to personal preference,i have never tried the ball lock so cannot comment. Are you using a cambium saver? If your rec climbing its really a must,it will save your rope and your arms as well :wave:
  19. Any one else seen this?http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/timber_W0QQitemZ300211258837QQihZ020QQcategoryZ112570QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  20. Mine arrived today,looks like a good read,Cheers for the tip off Dagmar :wave:
  21. I used to do the same and often found they had come loose:scared: People like what their used to and he's aware of there faults and checks them regularly, so who are we to tell him what to use :wave:
  22. I think the thing to bare in mind is that as well as screw gates not being safe (which I think most of us who have used them for long periods in the past would agree)they are not good to use,they tend to lock up ,so you find your self struggling to open them especially in the cold. Once I had changed to twist lock there was no way I would have gone back to screw gate.
