  1. I give all my chip to the farmer next door,he will take all we make conifer and all. If I get any enquiries for chip I just give them his number,he sells some and uses the rest for bedding or to dry up gate ways. I can earn far more cutting than making delivery's
  2. No I have no personal experience of them which is why I did NOT pass an opinion on them. But one of the guys that subies to me from time to time has one of the older ones and is very happy with its performance
  3. Do you have a lot of experience with Landforce? What problems did you encounter? Advice is only of use if it has some substance,IMO.
  4. I think he look after a hunt pack and will deal with fallen stock.
  5. Totally agree mate! There aren't enough big T/D to go round any way,so if you get a climber who only wants to do the big ones, he can be less reliable on the every day stuff. My advice would be be honest about your ability, reliable, and hard working and you'll never be short of work.
  6. I agree,I was not taking issue with the question at the start of the thread, which is why I had the quote above my post. It was the advice to big yourself up which I disagree with.
  7. Hope he makes a speedy recovery!!!

  9. Yes thats great!,you get some guy who tells you he's the dog bollo(ks,so you get him in for a big T/D and he can't do it! Thats great that is Always be honest about your ability,IMO,if you can turn up blind and do any tree, great, but if you have limitation don't be embarrassed, be honest and save every body a load of hassle.
  10. That is such a sad sight :bawling:Hope its not to serious.
  11. I really don't understand why so many people all over the world have a problem with the attitude of many Americans????????
  12. Congratulations!! So as they say "life begins"
  13. You need to put a horses head in his bed
  14. Never had that problem and I've had 9 020's over the years. Last drum I got cost around £200,but it was around 12 months ago.
  15. Its after reading that I really hope that there is "karma" and that they get theirs!! That reminds me of a tale my grandad used to tell, He worked as a boiler man at a mill, there was a guy he worked with who would catch spiders and put them on his coal shovel and hold the shovel over the fire and watch them run round till they died,if my grandad was there he would stop him. One Monday morning his wife came to the mill, as he had not come home all weekend. It transpired that he'd had a row with his wife on Friday morning,so Friday night he went to the pub had a few beers, then got fish and chips, not wanting to go home he went back to the mill. Now on Fridays they would empty the boilers for cleaning and inspecting. They would stay warm for a fair while,so he had taken his fish and chips and climbed into a boiler to eat them,he must have fallen a sleep. Saturday morning the weekend grew came in,fitted the man lid to the boiler, filled it with water and lit the fire! Whether he drowned or was boiled alive is not known, but my grandad always said "what goes around comes around".
