  3. I just done a search on youtube stihl ht131 valves and a few walkthroughs came up
  4. BTW I have possibly solved problems with the stihl, a couple little videos on you tube showing how to adjust them quite simple really
  5. ill look into if any are wpd authorised but not entirely sure I think one might have been once (wpd =western power distribution)
  6. I've never used echo before. But that hedge trimmer attachment sounds good. We used to do that on the older stihl's. but it "wound" the shaft up causing problems. As for swapping parts. I'll see how we go. I've got a couple of old pole saws ill give it a go on( plenty of donor machines, never chuck anything as it'll come useful one day!!)
  7. The engine swap could well be an answer for what we have already, thing is I'm looking to get another in the next week or so . So I'm hoping to find something that does what I'd expect it to do from the box
  8. Hi stubby. Yes I think the older ones are far better. But ours get a lot of use and these are less than a year old. It's the newer engines that seem to be giving so much trouble.
  9. Hello all I'm looking for some genuine feedback about different brands of pole saw seeing as stihl 131 have become spectacularly unreliable. I'm curious of anyone's view on husky , echo etc We have only ever used stihl in the past but I'm definitely looking for a change now Seriouse opinion appreciated , I'm pretty sure the 131 is the most powerful unit but its no good if its always needing work on it , we run a few of these things and they are becoming a real pain, I our using something with good power a reasonable extension ad reliability I'd be very interested Cheers

  21. maybe the OP has made a comment and pride wont let him back down? I havnt read the whole thread but it seems to me quite unlikely,i.e a large back garden dismantle, how many armfuls of brush? then the timber,a jog on every trip.id be amazed and even further still if it was every day of the week.ive been in this industry a long time and the only blokes ive come across who honestly expect that are the ranters (im sure you all have met at some point or another) big mouth ,big attitude and don't actually get any true respect from anyone who comes into contact with them.
  22. hi on the off chance someone wants an easy job for 6 or 7 weeks,i need 2 guys (must have pts) for 24 hr security one person per shift for 12 hrs 7 till 7. its based in north devon ,all welfare onsite(cabin, loo, microwave etc). starts this Monday 16 sept and runs on to late October,i need to know asap today 01278 238069 or 07767763124 or [email protected] there has to be some aching arms or legs out there needing a bit of a rest!!!
  23. Ive got to say "well done david for actually saying that ,re manufacturers point of view.i do think they should take a little more responsibility however.it pretty flimsy these little aluminium labels that are riveted to the machines.as for selling,if I cant find a little out about who im selling to I don't ever invite them to our yard,so id opt for a public car park or as such for the transaction.its not just the buyer who needs to be wary.
  24. still looking for anyone with min ua1 and relevant cs tickets im only interested in people that can be reliable and actually do what they claim if you think this is you email [email protected] or phone office on 01278 238069 thanks
  25.

    <p>hiya Dave </p>

<p>im not in a huge hurry to sort this out but id be interested in what your asking for it and hrs etc</p>
