  1. if you have morrisons or Tesco nearby we use their card fuel genie same price as the pump which is always cheaper than our other cards (we only keep those now for motorway fillups)
  2. id go for a stihl machine (thats what we have) im not sure what the others will do but youll be able to get different wheels to sharpen hedge trimmers etc as well
  3. the predator is a great little machine , I bought one to put up on the back of the van and still tow the chipper for smaller stumps and it works out great, its exactly the same machine as the laski . so its worth looking for a deal from both

  5. everyone has to have a new ebay account at some time, and there could be any amount of reasons to service at one of the lister branches ,ive put machines in for services in the past at locations where working instead of bringing it back to our yard
  6. would you say something like the little kanga was a better buy than a mini track dumper? im thinking for loading rings etc onto 3.5 and 7.5 ton tippers

  10. id think 27 m disregarding the 16m shed theory !!
  11. I agree with Treequip on this , its not a what I would call a job to be proud of but....nobody know what the circumstances were , what the final onsite situations were or anything else . I remember one particular job we done some yrs ago . myself and the TO knew the tree wouldn't look pretty for a yr or two , a large holm oak which need to be pruned harder in some areas than others to gain the TO's plan for the tree.
  12. I saw them using a wallpaper steam cleaner at a vehicle prep area in an auction once , it seemed to be working really well
  13. we are currently looking into setting a 3man team up in the Worcester area, any enquiries to office , 01278 238069 or email [email protected]
  14. I now just look up and say "I have to earn it and wont be giving it away thanks"
  15. why have a mog for heavy work, never been a fan. I think their capacity is too small for what they are . 7.5 Iveco is a far better choice id reckon . have to be honest though a tool pod and all that body the chip capacity would be very small against the chip box
  16. scams are about for the community incentive for kids during the summer.the usual "just a one off payment of £140 " for a mention in their publication shame the bloke stuttered and stammered when I asked for their phone number and their address
  17. but I think its a wasted sales pitch seeing as not many here are in india or the middle east
  18. I assume it is advertising the safety officer training course

  20. in that case id have said I wont be able to make it in the first place......it may sound harsh but your personal issues should affect anyone else. this is what I mean about . the fact that no one owes you a living . you need to make it happen for your self and anyone , me included would understand you telling them your not going to make it to work on that day for a genuine reason as you have just said. it makes for a much more reliable and open approach . im not knocking you just putting it out there as someone giving you a pointer that would hopefully get you in the right direction . a big thing with me is reliability , be on time , turn up when expected, and get on with it when your there . get that right and your 75% there . as for the work , first off take anything at all you can , get your driving test done , thatll open a lot more chances or see if you can get on a rail de-veg team , always working away so then you transport issue is cut to a minimum straight away. just think of what you can do instead of the things you think are stopping you from getting on
  21. the reason I actually said anything on this is because , you don't see the point that ,your turning up late is affecting the other guys business, this is a business that he has worked hard to build and get himself established.just saying I had my reasons doesn't make it right if he had lost a client, remember this is a business that has taken time and effort to build up . something that you are learning isn't easy. the golden rule is simple , no one owes you , you need to make your own way and if given a chance don't let that person down because those chances will quickly vanish
  22. seems to be a lot of everything is a problem ...if you were 30 mins late for work in my yard ,youd be pretty lonely as everyone would be 30 minutes away doing what they should be. best advice id give is take a good look at what you have been saying and see why its not working out
  23. I guessed it would be on the low side but that does sound a bit mean
  24. just out of curiosity what was the rate they gave?
  25. has anyone used the sa16 blue lift? im looking at buying one and wondered if anyone has any experience of it thanks
