  1. Hi MasterBlaster wold that truck be a Dodge 6.7L 16 cummings by any chance? excuse my ignorance if incorrect Great vehicle Was in the states over christmas, and looked around for trucks to import in the UK for Arb work, i think it is viable only as second hand options, perhaps, still some homework to do

  5. Hi there, have been burning horsechestnut all this winter in open fire , admittedly i have mixed my wood with usual ie ash, hazel, oak etc and had good heat.when ihave just used horse chestnut the heat was not as strong. I wouldnt sell just horse chestnut to my customers but everybody who has had mixed loads say 1/3 of the load horse chestnut has been very happy with my wood so far. I know what you mean about premium wood is hard to come across.Around where i am most people want the wood unless is poplar, willow or horse chestnut. Good luck:)

  11. Hi timberdog a friend of mine has one of those and i used it on a job with him and i must say i was not overly impressed with its ability to cope with volume. He also bought it resnobly cheapish 3k although his is a newer model. go for it if it will get you going and part ex it later on then you have something to trade ? good luck

  15. Evening everyone is anybody using tungsden tip chains on their ground saws and how do you find them ie longevity and easiness to get them sharpened, apart from being expensive? cheers
  16. thats true too tidy a yard invites trouble sometimes from unwanted passers by
  17. you may wish to favour the old fashioned menthod of underground staking which i have always found reliable and not so costly( a little fiddly perhaps) if you use vine ties the wiring is simple! We are on brushy ground in the west country and most of my jobs are either clay or stone.Platibus for many trees can pump up the price tremendously although you get to keep the anchoring post for £150 approx. Good luck in this wet time we are having.
  18. Hi there what type of ground are you planting on?
  19. not very robust as climbing saws, plastic sarround, the chain break with much use will break! i find it badly balanced, good engine ,slower revs than Husky or Stihl. You may wish to keep is as back up,but you probably wouldnt want tp be seen with it!
  20. like the vid on the Beech takedown Carl. well done posting the Tree of Heaven.Fantastic effort. More pics will follow from customer. She was trully impressed.
