  1. can anyone help i am selling logs and at the mo its by hand splitting and cutting up..i do have a use of tractor somtimes but its not consistant to enable myself to get ahead with stock piles and the logs are really starting to sell:blushing: can anyone recomend a good wood processor? i know Haki are good and just wanted advice on reliabilty ..width cuts of timber and suppliers second hand or new i dont have a massive budget about £8000 to £10000 max . thanks in advance

I think ya right looks a good combo its always hard trying to decide these things.. no doubt i will still get it wrong...thank you thanks for the info on suppliers i have rang them but all shut..time of year lol....bugger when ya getting exited ..big kids eh? thiers a 440 on ebay they look good spec? thanks all so far for help.. also as i am still in training mode so to speak i am trying to get somone local so i can help out/ get some experiance on the job so to speak so if anyone is up for helping i would appreceate it...no pay of course ...dont all jump lol

RIGHT HAD A LONG LOOK: STHIL: MS 441 80CC 4.1KW 25BAR 6.6KG £647 MS 660 91CC 5.2KW 25BAR 7.3KG £830 husky: 372xp 80cc 3.9kw 25bar 6.1KG £621 395XP 93CC 5.4 kw 25bar 7.9kg £753 all with spare chains looking at the 361 and 390 the aint much differance in price to buying the above models i take on what you say about weight but my min keeps comming back to price and furthering my self long term and investing now rarther than having to trade in later etc??
  10. Bloody hell.. Anyway i am trying to arive at a saw for gen use....arh confused now:cussing: the Ms 180 and 170 i have are great for a bit of limbing but to cut up larger stuff they aint got the grunt etc

Good point...thanks i am just starting out so i cannot afford allot etc other thing is i dont know what the pros and cons are of having a chipper i have always managed by chucking all the trees i have cut down on my tipper and then tipping the brash and keeping logs for my fire and payin about £35 to tipp.. What do you lot do with chips as i was told you cannot put them on the garden when fresh as they do more harm than good? can ayone recomend a cheap start up chipper second hand like which can be towed?
