  1. Honestly the Nogs would happily give away any profits to the latest refugee cause after paying their spouses generous consultancy fees. Politicians are the same the world over.
  2. It's Norway They are just better at everything naturally.
  3. All the glaciers I have seen here are pretty far from the coast. My bet is that they will tap in down stream from a hydro electric dam since the infrastructure is there from the dam building ? True some of the water would originate from a glacier/ snow melt but probably 99% would be rainwater. I spoke to a client a few years back who mentioned this,it's not a new idea.
  4. I had a passer-by claim his car was struck by something when he passed us while chipping While he was showing me all the " damage" he produced a stone from his pocket claiming that and many just like it had struck his shite-box. Jog on Pal
  5. It really dosnt matter since you took out insurance on the hire right? Anyhow its so far in the past ,that without evidence/ eyewitness testimony you hired a mewp that came back with £12500 worth of damage. It really is that simple.
  6. Sounds like a good idea. They already pipe oil & gas. Electricity comes over via cable. The Fjords arn't freshwater though....
  7. The damage is on you if you can't prove it's the truck that did it.I expect the hire fee for the mewp included insurance? Farmer has nothing to do with this.
  8. I know a guy who passed his ETW without any prior industry experience. Sounds like they set a much higher bar in Germany.
  9. Crampons and Ice spikes are two different things I think. Caulks are another different thing, like golf spikes but longer and sometimes hardmetal tipped.
  10. They have to be long enough in the spikes to go through loose bark and into the wood.
  11. There have always been floods. We just tamed the rivers into courses and sometimes they escape . Remember the floods in Norway last year? Same thing, towns build on silt deposits from earlier river beds, get much ran, river jumps like it always did. Two days later it's back to normal. I remember the BBC coverage from a town called Flåm ,literally flood in Norwegian. Clearly not the first time it's happened then, how many times does the place need to be submerged before you name the town after it?
  12. Did you have to show them the Keys? How did they find the " Devils Lettuce?" Good you got off,sad they didn't have anything better to do.
  13. 85 Deaths a day in the UK from obesity related complications. Imagine if that were shootings? Politicians would have banned staple guns by now. Just goes to show how stupid we are and how little they really give about their constituents.
  14. I was reducing a Horse Chestnut with "Deaf Lad" in Norwood junction. Big Phil tells us a plane had hit the WTC,then a while later another one. We went to the pub to watch the Telly, when they were showing footage of the planes impacting the building, Sam who was stone deaf belows out "Not Good"
  15. "Adam Boulton: Tony Blair says he is talking to Sir Keir Starmer - so what is he telling him?" Cover your tracks?
  16. Just wait until the IDF finishes turning it into the Middle Easts largest car park. Then the money will come pouring in.
  17. Thank you Mick. Hundreds of children perish every year when left in cars. Happens here too,not just in Hot climates. Really sad and avoidable.
  18. Might be a moral in there somewhere? Don't leave your toddler alone in a car?
  19. Well...if the Swiss disliked Catholic Nuns who wore masks, they could also ban them too? That's the thing with a democracy.
  20. House to house like what's happening now I suppose? If who fills the void after Hamas promises more than Virgins and a Man servant, then people will take up that offer. Look at how the IRA foundered after prosperity came to Ireland.
  21. All the more reason to destroy Hamas and allow a move into the 21st century? Carry on IDF. Hamas launched their attack in fear of Israel/ Saudi relationship normalising. Without instability in the ME Hamas would live in fear of loosing it's grip and their being an "Arab Spring" in Palestine. Nothing will change until Hamas is erased.
