the thing is ive been gaurneteed work with 3 arb approved companies and everybody else says oh yeah we will deffinatly use you soon.....................................................................................................................still waiting!!!! i dont want to float my own boat but its not like im a ruff crap climber, i would consider myself a good all round climber. It also seems that companies are sooner paying young under experienced climber rather than experienced ones just to save 20-40 quid!!!!!!!!!!!!

alot of companies around here only have enough work to tick them over, starting the stress me out now, i have 1 day work this week compared to a full 6 day weeks ive been having since this time last year!!!! 1 bloke who i do alot for only has hedge trimming!!! im sure itll pick up soon tho, might do me good to have a few days off!!

ay up matt, did you hear me beep on the golden mile at you?? hahaha very true, but i think most climbers have done there time on the floor, i worked with 2 guys the other day that dont have chapter 8 but i do, and the fafing that was involved was unreal, me being the young boy they wouldnt listen to me properly!!! and resulted in the job taking a hr n a half longer!!! i call groundies when i look down and no bodys looking up or even watching, there all drinking tea and having a laugh leaning on the chipper, in my eyes they should always have atleast 1 guy watching, really rilles me that they sit there doing the above then when you get down and have a tea out your own flask that they have drank half of, and they have the cheek to make a snide comment like......no time for tea climber boy get a rake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but this only applies to a small number of people but gets my back up

i work for one company that sends lads out with over weight trailors and lets them climb with out a guy with ariel resuce and the lads them selves saw nothing wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i soon voiced my opinions, of course i didnt tow and i made sure there was a man with ariel rescue, its a bit sad really cuz i basically run the gang when i sub there and it shouldnt be like that!!! god knows what happens when im not there!!! gang leaders should have at least basic legislation knowlegde

hell yeah i used some crappy stuff and on a long decent went all the way through the outer core by the time i got to the ground!!!!i use op at the minuite and love it, i never come down to fast any ways and if its a loooong decent ill get my figure 8 out:001_cool:

exactly, there isnt many people who are just a climber, im also a mechanic, welder and a rent boy on sundays, as well as being a free bank for the missus

a good groundy was normally a good climber in his earlier years but i do know of alot of good GOT's (there you go dean) who have barley used a harness in their life but if im on the floor i expect to be the goundy......... does this mean climbers will becom COT's??? (climbing operation technician)
