  1. ive been reading a bit recently which is a little dangerous, i know certain fungs does certain things, like ganoderma is a heart wood rot fungi, just trying to find out which fungi does what to the wood....
  2. im being lazy but might be benificial to others, can some one help me with a few answers what fungi/disease feeds on the lignin and which feed on the cellulose? which cause brown cubical rot and soft rot? i know there will be loads but the more common ones:001_cool: regards ben
  3. they got broke in to thursday night, about 5 200t's gone, 660, husq 395, 346 and a few others,the door was ram raided quite high up so might of been a lorry etc

  6. tied a 5-2 and its worked wickedly, ive gained alot of confidents now since a vt i used to tie slipped all the time and scared me half to death, going to tie a 4-2, i love it now, no more blakes for me, convinced a few other blokes to use it now to!!!
  7. im in the middle, still use a blakes on my short 13mm rope, and a vt on my blaze, still not convinced but i keep trying and its getting easier and i can deffinatly see the benifits from a v.t, so how do you thrust with a v.t? one hand above and one below? i tend to just do 2 or 3 pulls then tend the slack....
  8. justin gave me some yale stuff thats blue yello and silver so i guess thats it, can you use 9mm cord on a blaze?
  9. its all so nice when your chogging down to have your rope on the lower d's and your wire strop on your higher d's, then the lower rope naturally falls lower and personally feels safer
  10. sometimes but the wraps at the top never seem to bight hard enough or only some times, does it have to be fettled alot?
  11. the wraps at the top...... does it matter wheather the top leg comes over the front or back and does it matter how the first cross on the braids work??
  12. im struggling big time, some times i can tie a v.t and it works properly and then sometimes i tie it and it wont grip with out me fidling with it for a long time!!!! ive got a blaze and using op cord, any help would be greatly appreciated!!

  16. nice one justin, bin playing around with the boa this morning, ive braced everything!!!! the boa seems a whole lot better than the cobra!! easier to set up and last longer!!

  18. i dont have the choice, its for a company and they have got all the kit...
  19. ive got to do a cobra soon, ive never physically done one my self only at college years ago, can any one help me with some tips and tricks to make it easier and also how tight does it need to be, iirc you just get it as tight as you can with no aids, ie rachet straps to bring it ever so slighty inwards while you fix it on.....
