  2. would you not recomend a proper tree report and possible picus at ground level would be worried if i took over the care of said trees for them to fail i think it all depends on the consequenciality of them failing but seems a shame to loose such mature trees but then again they are only a crop hope i have covered my arse like a true pro
  3. we do ocasionaly but obviosly depends on what we are doing condition of cables and job urgency and weather they are permanent live or light sensitive switches i know this shouldent matter but real life goes on but we tend to on programed work and we dont do as much stuff near electric as before i did my electrical units now that was scary
  4. i usually use it like this as a 120cm dyneema sling fits inside the kevlar rope protestor better than thicker slings i have mates that use a 100cm sling to make it shorter but i like the big long pull and dyneema slings are nicer coloured

  15. the accident you previosly mentioned was investigated by H&S and the shunt system was given a recomendation as being suitable allsorts of our kit is not designed for arb but does not make it unusable
  16. have tried the lockjack but its too slow for me and never liked it much and too expensive and clutches dont last long enough

  18. i have an art positioner with a swivel definatly better with a SWIVEL
  19. i asked my groundie a climber of 24 years to monitor my one handed use today and he recons i used it approx 150 times one handed and totaly ligitimate and about 10 times as an illigitimate but safely now i was doing sycamore reductions and if i had used silky would have had loads of tears and snaps or would have had to reduce further in cutting and holding very close to my wrists with silky which has cut me several times and are a lot more dangerous than we give them credit for
  20. i use either bolle i think spider or stihl yellow or orange which are really top banana and a definate must have a mate has just bought some stihl goggles for windy ring downs but were nearly £20

  22. i have been climbing using a shunt for a long time and very rarely come across anyone ele other than people i have introduced to it just wondered if any other shunters there
  23. usually requires a carb gasket kit as diaphragm goes sloppy
