  1. i usually use it like this as a 120cm dyneema sling fits inside the kevlar rope protestor better than thicker slings i have mates that use a 100cm sling to make it shorter but i like the big long pull and dyneema slings are nicer coloured

  5. do they not protrude from the blade i tried to source some but the head protruded ever so slightly which worried me so went back to originals

  11. does a vt or prussick or a lockjack no
  12. the accident you previosly mentioned was investigated by H&S and the shunt system was given a recomendation as being suitable allsorts of our kit is not designed for arb but does not make it unusable
  13. have tried the lockjack but its too slow for me and never liked it much and too expensive and clutches dont last long enough
  14. blaze is the best stays soft and dosent swell
  15. i have an art positioner with a swivel definatly better with a SWIVEL
  16. i asked my groundie a climber of 24 years to monitor my one handed use today and he recons i used it approx 150 times one handed and totaly ligitimate and about 10 times as an illigitimate but safely now i was doing sycamore reductions and if i had used silky would have had loads of tears and snaps or would have had to reduce further in cutting and holding very close to my wrists with silky which has cut me several times and are a lot more dangerous than we give them credit for
  17. i use either bolle i think spider or stihl yellow or orange which are really top banana and a definate must have a mate has just bought some stihl goggles for windy ring downs but were nearly £20
  18. shows how old i really am
  19. i have been climbing using a shunt for a long time and very rarely come across anyone ele other than people i have introduced to it just wondered if any other shunters there
  20. usually requires a carb gasket kit as diaphragm goes sloppy
  21. i could send you a picture of pete mctree that would make you laugh
  22. i still use my 020t rather than ms200t still runs better
  23. a little top tip on the top off the stem on the back cut a little notch then tie pulling rope on at the back of the tree feeding it over the top of the stem this has 3 benifits 1 you gain all possible pull leverage 2 rope less likely to get damaged on stem impact 3 knot is usally accesible to undo rather than burried in ground p.s this is not a critisism just a tip top tip that works so simple if you understoud me
  24. i would give george carrs a ring 01179669845 although i usuallybuy my saws locally i usually find a nice cheap source then ask local dealer how much and then tell him what i can get it for and he either meets or compromises but if you have any probs with your saws after buying mail order dont expect the same service as if you bought it from local dealer :laola:
  25. this is a grey area but it would clarify to everyone if you asked your assessor as your replt said you thought it covered light prunning but prunning is cs40 now if you did 39 and 40 you definatly use saw for stubbs but everyone seems to go why is there cs39 hope you pass and find out your assessors interpretation of what it entitles you to do
