  2. my boy has had loads he went absailing before he was 2 and has had kids harnesses of varying sorts then onto rock climbing harnesses and this one is a butterfly 1 that i got offered from a mate that had only been used for a month and it adjusted down very small even sort of fits my neighbours 5 year old son A lot of harnesses do adjust small though i would consider putting some sort of a chest harness to keep them upright till there boy enough to fit them
  3. that is a very poor attitude why not use chains on a chocker your attitude should of been i am dragging not lifting Did you know what loler stands for as its not latin
  4. on a serious note i wanted to see a site plan before i went so i could mark the stands i needed to see ended up doing it on the hoof and missed a couple which was a real shame Can they not put a site plan on web site Also after all this rain and how wet all areas are i was impressed with the level of mud after getting all that kit and folk onto site

  7. whilst driving the minibus home from apf the passengers decided they needed to relieve themselves after far too much lager which was better 1 wait till a traffic jam and stand with the side door open having a wee whilst the bus was moving at about 20mph 2 use the pint glass and keep filling it up and tipping out of the window whilst doing 60mph but needing to release 3 pints per person just a final note my boss was driving the car behind us
  8. thats not what its for there are other better devices out there
  9. its a chest ascender which would generally be used in a SRT kit along side a few other gizmos. i have no idea what you do or what experience you have or for what needs you have but i would look more towards a pantin or a hand ascender but please either find out how to use them properly or get some instruction of one form or another if you go to petzl site you can find basic instructions that would come with them to see if they tick your needs but please beware a little knowledge is usually more dangerous than NO knowledge hope that helps
  10. funny i was reducing and thinning a beech today TPO,d reduce over road side only by a third and thin by upto 30% this was all done as a large branch had snapped out and squashed a car the hard part of the job was that it had been drop crotched in the past so all anchor points had gone and it was twice as wide as tall and the drop crotching had not been done particularly well imo shame i did not take a before and after photo just a load of the decay points in the tree as i have concerns over the safety of the tree so have included a couple for your perusal the trees in your pictures i would lift and then a reduction and leave the thin till next year if poss so as not to stress the tree too much or thin this tear and reduce next but you may then have removed all your reduction points
