  6. we could go back and forth arguing about this one i do wish self employed guys like you should spend some of your millions on training and keeping up with legislation ect please ask yourselves what would you have to do to be AA approved and if you have a hgv licence you will have to do mandatry training as of next year or you will lose your licence

  11. i would find out how much it would cost to hire the stuff biggest prob with college or centre kit is they usually lend you chainsaw wellies which are not what i would like to wear for a week also to consider is what are you going to do after the course if looking for employment the employer should provide kit so why buy it for your test
  12. can i have a job please
  13. bob

    bin it?

sell it and put your money into something that has more use than clogging up the garage having said that there are loads of saws not in use in my garage
  14. i am with skyhuck ash
  15. hope you did not use your climbing rope to pull that thing does not look like a steep hill to us yorkshire lads
  16. i have both the stien and the hi flex and like them both the hi flex is reasonably bright and showerproof and very nice and soft to wear the stien is nice and bright and seems very waterproof and is good to wear any time though not as soft as hi flex if both got lost tomorrow i would buy the stien as its half the cost and just as good imo although i would probably buy this one in the pic which i believe is made by the same company though for cycling and comes with a small back pocket and is £10 cheaper than the stien and seems to be much better value for money but as we often see tree stuff = more money or am i been cynical
  17. if you take the square bit out of the back and twist it round it makes the headband slightly bigger that may be what you,ve heard about and as mentioned you can get a bigger padding for the front
  18. will gladly show you how to do one they are very simple even my 12 year old son can do them
  19. cheers friend did they ring you with the postcode

  20. can i have a friend please i dont have any though i do not know why i want one
  21. i change bars and sprockets when they are worn you can get a little guage from stihl to check your sprockets for a couple of squid which is a lot cheaper than a new sprocket and a bar dressing tool will be a very good investment too
  22. did not realize they did a left footed pantin either i can feel some christmas presies coming
  23. the basis for chainsaw maintenance is whatever the manufacturer recomends like it is for all vehicles and machinery rubber av,s were supposed to be replaced between 6 and 12 months due to vib levels springs last till they bust as they do not deteriorate i usually change fuel filters every christmas as for me prevention is always better than cure and replace pull cord if the slightest sign of wear reliability is worth more than a couple of quid
  24. where did you here that one
  25. was trying to give him experience and be there to answer any questions and give encouragement which is what a lot of recently qualified need though as stated they want top dollar in the meantime i always believe i do not pay any lad that works for me it is the customer that pays there wage(through me)so they need to earn there money not just be there for the day
