    Fair comments, but 99% of the time the largest item we would move would be Jenson 540T @1.4t or the Tracked dumper @1.2T. We have the tipper for everything else. I can see it works for you though.

    I met the Brother of the bloke who ran Win Pin about 19 years ago, he was a water diviner amongst other things and boy did he know his stuff. I can divine as can most people, but he was giving depths and flow rates - Jesus !!!

    1300mm = 5 ft 10 55/64 inches - So I was quite close with my estimate of 5ft 11 inches wide. Thanks for checking that ! How many trailers do you have there to be able to go out and give accurate measurements, when someone on a Forum asks a random trailer measurement question ?

    The width is a deciding factor - knowhere does Ifor W. give external dimensions but I am guessing most are 18" wider externally than internally - making the GH 1054 7ft wide, whereas the GH 94BT 5ft 11" wide. The Ranger is 5' 7 1/2 " wide and also it is all hills, tight access around our region which is why compact is good. 3.5T rating would be fantastic in a GH 94BT

    Having just bought the Panther and Intersect I just watched the Logosol video just now on the Logosol f2+ Chainsaw Mill and thought - Damn - I have bought the wrong equipment! That Logosol f2+ is some bit of kit !!! Then I thought, - well, great as it is, you cant get the big sticks onto the f2+ out on site generally, so I am a lot happier now. Still would like an f2+ though. Never 'One ' machine to do everything. Rough Hewn ? ?

    Priceless information thanks ! - We all can't know everything, which is why this forum is excellent with so many well informed participants who offer their advice freely. I'll be on the phone next week as you recommend - not sure what the lead time may be right now though.

    Sorry, just seen this. So with the D. leaf springs would the trailer GH94 be then be legally plated for 3.5T or are brakes different?

    Spot on. What does the GAP spec. actually give you? Do I just ask for GAP spec? I have ball and pin hitches on vehicles - I never could work out the real advantage of either - which do you prefer? Can you order this size in 3.5T as I do not want a physically larger size but capacity to carry big butts would be very usefull as I have the 7.5t Ex. this end to lift off or forklift?

    All just sitting there in boxes, sealed up and waiting to see the light of day? Likely to be December before the packing comes off. I've had a small piece of Yew stored for about 10 years and I was planning for it to be one of the 1st sticks to mill and turn it into something a bit special !

    Ifor Williams trailers there may be better but a lot are worse, they are however easy to source. I am looking to buy one to move a Tracked dumper 8ft 9" long, a 1.5t Mini Digger, a Jo Beau M500 and a Jenson 540T - So the Jenson is the heaviest machine at 1.4 tonnes. I've had trailers before but not this type, so I am looking for some advice on which of the 3 types below is most suitable for my needs. Then there is the question of whether ramps or full width tailgates are best. Nothing larger than a 105 spec though: 9' 11" x 5' 2". I already have an Iveco twin wheel dropside tipper and Ranger. Any replies would be appreciated. GH Plant GP Plant GX Plant

    Thanks - thinking it may hang over rear tailboard a touch on existing trailer. Or buy new - handy to know which Ifor Williams is perfect that can be also be used for 1.5t mini digger and tracked 1.2t dumper - Probably a GX 105 - or GP 105 - Anyone know? Also is it possible to chip with M500 still in the trailer?

    True - still hermetically sealed in the packaging - I thought that post would provoke a response - got that from the horses mouth ! - bearing in mind not everyone has your sharpening skills ?

    Still in the packing - but yes, winch included. I think you could safely say that milling large timber 'without' a winch - would be like using a chainsaw with the chain fitted the wrong way round - way more difficult to make progress ?

    Ok - well as there seems to be a shortage of long slabs, I may wish to consider milling slabs up to 8m x 4" thick, as I have the machines to handle those / space to store and maybe get a better return than I would milling average slabs that everyone else produces - what do you think - would they sell ?

    May have access to a 3120, (I know don't run before you can walk ?) Mmm, I think this would run with the Panther I have ? Just need bar, chain and sprocket. I notice you buck the trend avoiding lo-pro and use 404 on your 880 and I am intrigued to know why - expect its down to abuse 404 will take - basically whatever you put it through. Yes lose timber due to width of kerf, but maybe the trade off stacks up in favour of the 404 all things considered?
