  5. I think we have a fairly good go at it....but don't have the figures.. We will have planted about 100 in the last couple of weeks ..but it is council contracts so that is their spec.

  9. ...lol love it ...going to start calling them all Nimby's !!
  10. DAMN!! i think we mentioned this but the suggestion was rebuffed point blank - he won't have it...I am leaving soon ...thankfully!! partly because of this kind of thing. I will make sure the others are aware - although non of them tow it anyway. I am still a little green to all this kind of stuff. Have considered driving to a weighbridge with a typical load but that would get me in trouble I think.
  11. Couple of weeks ago a large Aesculus fell over a main road - bit unpredictable as the trees have only just started to show signs of problems this year. A week later 6 more mature trees have all been felled ...I guess it is the unpredictablility that is scaring authorities into action. No doubt some magnificent Rowans will replace these mature beauties. Most city dwellers don't really like trees but they do subconciously find comfort in seeing greeness around them - they just don't care about the detail.
  12. Touch wood I've been lucky and not pulled - typically our transits could have one or two minor faults at one time. tyres, lightboards, reg plates etc I have also heard straight from the horses mouth that fully loaded our vans would not carry more than one tonne = Bu***sh*T and I am towing the tw190. How far can you argue with the Boss before you are shown the door...staying within weight limits and using only transits would seriously jeopardise productivity.. An o-license and bigger trucks is required but he won't shell out.
  13. I couldn't spell constructive criticism but now I can quote you... Why not a traditional reduction ?? is the end just inevitable ?? and you are just attempting to maximise opportunity for colonisation ? whilst also giving a nice gnarly decaying aesthetic...
  14. I currently work for a "tree care" Company and we do all of the above - although we only plant once a year to replace felled trees. Know another company called "Tree Care" who I believe do a bit of everything too.
  15. Am definately relocating now...Got a few things in the pipeline.... But if anyone is looking for a good groundsman with some climbing ability/experience then I am very keen to hear from you. I am reliable, a quick learner and a hard worker.
