  8. Nothing special really but was a good size fell for me to tackle....nice tall skinny sycamore with fairly chunky main stems...thick with lichen and frosty wet too...glad I had good spikes on! was cool to rev up the 200t... the good man has a hell of a clear up for tomorrow but he says he'll enjoy it... Out of interest anyone got an opinion on the timescale and likelihood of failure on any of these stems....the tree had been thinned and the weight distribution didn't look too bad. The roots were habitually invading the sewer ... Cheers

  13. I have the opportunity of relocating to near Canterbury and just wondered if anyone on here was looking for someone or knew someone who was etc etc ... I'm fairly new to climbing but pretty competent with all the other stuff. I also have a pre97 driving license. If anyone had anything or knows someone who does that would be ultra fantastic ... Many thanks for reading..

  20. Had to move this for a customer before commencing stump grinding - was a cool experience but a bit tight getting off the drive... Have to love the way customers even ask if it needs to be moved or can it just stay put while we grind.. Sorry no tree pics - been quiet recently ....
  21. Anyone used this "new" model? ...or should I not even consider it ? Thanks...
  22. Just over two years only now...been at college for a year - then grounding/some small silky work/ straight fells/stump grinding/watering/planting/ lifting and suckering for just over a year. Now starting on bigger reductions/thins and fells, this is where the climbing is starting to get addictive and more fun!! I look forward to doing more but there is a lot to take in and think about so I know it will take a while to get really confident. Live in north london but working in west london if anyone is from those parts? Been addicted to woods and trees since forever and always loved machinery - wish things had clicked earlier but its all good at the moment
  23. Made redundant at 30 from a job of five years which I hated from day one - just so unnatural.. Decided to go travelling but fell in love - stayed ... found nothing that really got me excited or enthused work wise until i got to thinking about woodlands and chainsaws and tree work - and then everything just seemed to add up! Took a long time to get here but I hope to stay
  24. Great thread!! - hope to add some pics of my own soon ...
