  1. I watched Cunk for the first time when I was quite drunk and seriously didn't know which way to take it, then got what she was doing and decided that she and the script writers are bloody clever! Not on TV but a good listen is the Radio 4 series called, 'Sorry, I haven't a clue'. Seriously good wordplay and often quite smutty too!
  2. Spanners undo the grease nipples on most things.

    D-Max

I hear that there is an approved chip/tune on the DMax, anyone had it done? Is it warranty approved? Is it any good and how much was it?
  4. Tonbridge born and schooled in Westminster until expelled! Sad but a life lived on his terms! Thanks for the entertainment Chap!
  5. The local Labour candidate pushed his flyer through the door. He blames Rishi and the Tories for the poorly insulated housing stock of the last 40 years! But the kind of muppetry talk may be for another forum.... Incidentally, when I moved here, there were plans for a new golf club/hotel/spa/exhibition centra around the town. Even the LA let it slip that once the Golf was built, they would then be able to build housing easier!
  6. It is harsh Mark. But business is. If you make £25 on a saw just to add to your total so you get another few % off Stihl while the local chap makes £100 but doesn't get the same rate from Stihl, the selling/supplying pyramid is screwed! I liked the fact that the Internet made things visible but I don't like 'price matching' as the 'value' of the local chap is lost to clicks on a mouse. Anyone remember Michael Richmond and the MR catalogue? He sold to Charterhouse who gave up just as the digital age was coming in because the rewards didn't match the investment.

    Overloaded

Once had to clear cordwood off of the side of Breedon quarry at Coalville. We were asked to exit via weighbridge and got told off for having a load of 2.8t. Drove okay back to the yard though.
  8. Constant discounting and price matching ends in disaster. Remember FR Jones? Strive to be popular by being cheap but in the end, it doesn't work...
  9. Sorry, I should have explained, Griffin are GreenMech chipper dealers but, a chipper is a chipper to be honest! Who is the Forst Assist people over that way?
  10. What make is it? Try Griffin Machinery.
  11. I hear good things about Sam Turners.
  12. I seem to recall that the Forst pages, and let's not forget, they copied Jensen, recommended a different clearance on the inner edge to the outer edge to account for the 'flex'. But then, blades bursting and blade bolts loosing their thread are not covered by their warranty!?!
  13. Not sure how the branch logger would fair with your hp tbh. GreenMech Eco150TMP is away past your budget but I think we have one CS100 TMP left which would be closer.
  14. Why does the blade gap need altering? We have about 2-3mm on ours, similar to Forst etc. The box settings should already be set no matter what the tractor is surely? We never change our No Stress settings on different tractors? The importers are Overland based down by Reading.

I had the old Rodeo and the level of service and support impressed me. New seals on the gearbox as they weeped at 180k under warranty! Not over expensive either! Hope the new is good as the ancient, high mileage is swapped for one in the new year!
  16. Doing a Goulash beef stew with lazy mash today!
  17. We had a brass banjo on a short length of flexible hose in the tank so it went to the low side if working on a bank, the crud did too if you used dirty fuel!
  18. Went to Kelham Island Museum, very interesting and a little daunting at times. Would have been proper old pubs back in the day roundabouts too. Even saying that, had a point in The Millowners on site. It missed an open fire and the fug of fag smoke! 20231104_153112.mp4
  19. Nice work on the Web page and new line of work!

  21. Life's rich tapestry!
  22. You are correct, whole..... But, there were some holes there too!😂🤣😂🤣
  23. Bad management, poor leadership and dubious business practices did for those boys! Only one depot did any good, the rest were just simply awful! They screwed over people like Mr Lee as they tried to screw there suppliers and countless customers too. We have two x 1928STC from one customer in our workshop right now, written off with bust engines and too many other faults to be worth repairing. Jason and I started both with 20 minutes. That depot tried to write them off and get the customer to change to the brand they were selling only. They even put a control bar on upside down and blamed us for sending the wrong one! I've not a good word to say about them on the hole......
  24. Tbh Stuart, we have a couple of customers who, regrettably, have had bother. Some we never hear from again! I got folk who don't plug it in, don't reset the tappets and some who skimp on oil changes and theirs survive! I've heard in the industry that others burn away exhaust gaskets and the loom fry, I had folk with other makes that have myther with electrics and stuff too. But, by and large, the efi unit in the 150/160/165 is holding up to the job!
  25. Facebook WWW.FACEBOOK.COM Son is out in the States doing a drag and drive racing event in a car he only recently got, which has major issues yet still manages to drive to each event and make a pass, but now the turbo is done so the next few passes are normally aspirated! The thing has had the wrong pto shaft, wrong lug nuts, poor electrics, no trans brake, no boost off the line, damaged steering rack, street tyres for some events and wrong gearing but still managed to overcome some of these to get a personal best! Google Rocky Mountain Race Week and Death Week!
