  25. Lebanese..... felled a nice one years ago behind a vicarage. Had a plan to get her planked at the sawmill of Lord Crawshaw. Keith, Bill and myself discussed the affair and my needs to store it until I got a good house and have a decent sized table made. We eventually agreed what was required and Nog the joiner was sure there would be enough for the table and a church style pew for one side too. Not ideal wood but would have looked ace and smelt sweet! The reciprocating Robinson saw of the Whatton Estate was set to go! This planked and squared timber was layered in the Glasonite lorry body/shed to start the drying process. Twice a year, I'd empty it, turn the timber, repack/layer the lengths to be sure it all dried straight. Eventually, I got the house with a 24' x 12' kitchen. I was saving up to pay Nog the joiner his fee (he was bloody good!) and some shit set fire to the shed and the lot got burnt along with some £12k of other tools and equipment!
