I was happy with V6 Ranger - better mpg than the previous 5 and 4 cylinder units. Simple adage for purchases, buy the best you csn afford! They are all a bit of the same tbh and you'll not get a 4x2 crew cab either! Trucks are such an emotive subject, so asking for subjective answers or examples would be better. Also think about maintaining this purchase - who is local to you and can they look after it for you?

Grey and still here. Been awake for a bit and now stood in the kitchen dressed in my finest chicken coop fetching garb! MIL has two very old/knackered things so bonus daughter has sourced a better one, involves 3 hours driving and her Dad and myself for a morning! As you do...... wonder if I can time off for good behavior later to watch rugby! Enjoy the family times yourself! Fared, Income.

What happened to that storm that was going to come? Looks clear out! Last official day with GreenMech. They are collecting their stuff which suits me. So Jase, I won't be able to shake your hand and give you a man hug in thanks for what you did to help or wish you well face-to-face on the next bit of the journey! But please do pass on my best to Raf, Will, Sylvestor, Pete, Tomek, Ian and everyone else in the building today! Next summer, I'll get Tom to scoop us both up to go to the AA Show and we can have a few beers, that's if they can get a decent beer spot of course! Be good y'all! Wreck, Hoard, Braking.

I see that Trump is knocking bits of the White House about again. Made a patio on the rose garden, added lots of vulgar gold to the office, now knocking down the east wing to make wake for a huge posh canteen. Nice to see a Volvo swing shovel there instead of a Cat.....

Had a lad who regularly turned out with a tin of sardines and a raw turnip or swede. Drink was either water or a pint of milk!

To be fair, my V8,5ltr Ford Focus is cheap with flux, but Disco 4 was dear! Don't bother with a tipper, a worthless cost of money at that size! NFU is a good shout.

Jase knows some of the historical stuff which we did but got nothing for! I think I did the extracurricular stuff for fun and because no one else was going to do it anyhow! Hard not to get a bit bitter looking back at it!

I haven't ordered anything for a while, as said Tom is at a drag and drive event and ordered a Haltech ecu for the Napshack dragster but got it sent to his mates in Texas where they leave the car. Ringing UPS now to see if the package has any identifying marks on it!

Grey here, need to get the GM car cleaned out, want some time with doors open. Mind you, got to collect Tom from Thiefrow T3 tomorrow so could get dirty again! GreenMech coming to collect it from me on Friday. Glad of that decision as I really do not want to go there on Friday! There will be some news soon and it ain't good IMHO. Even after 27 years of hard graft, dedication to to brand, loyalty to to the team and utmost integrity in my work, I doubt that the owners/management had a whip round! They are "we paid you" people.... Be good and safe today! War, Con, Heir.

Nearly £70 in duty and it does look legit and Tom ordered a racing ECU for his drag racers but that was to go to Texas! Will see if I can ring them, Tom flys back in on Wednesday!

Up and awake for some ungodly reason. Going down in the cold for a cup then carrying on with crossword etc! Over to Woodhouse to see wayward daughter and grandson. Daughter is a sufferer of modern afflictions that I cannot understand. No desire to work, drive or do anything to combat 'anxiety'. Yet, sees no problem in having everyone else pay for her not to work etc and fall out with all her family! This visit is a real trauma for me - she voices her opinions on everything yet when I mention work or anything that normal folk have in their lives, she gets all teary and reports that her anxiety is too strong and ends in tears! Wish me luck! Isaac, Height.

Good girl for the tea and stoke the fire up. Stays in all night with little effort since I put in a new baffle! Dog walk and a few other routine jobs. Daughters birthday too, I cannot get across today so will have to do it one aft next week. Got her a new vacuum. Police, Turnover. (I know these are right but cannot get it to 'read', enlighten me please)

Why am I awake so early? She bobbed for the tea, I'm wondering in what order to do jobs! Rugby on the box this aft and she is of to watch To Kill A Mockingbird with her mum and sister so away from 11 until 5! I read the book back in the late 70's but cannot remember it! Have a good day all. Update on the job front, I took the high paying gig selling big chippers and stuff! Awe, Toe, Barn.

Been a while since I've been at mine over a weekend. Going to get a call about the high paying sales job - hope I dont get it tbh - decided I dont need the stress etc. Already sorted with a position anyhow. Spoke to Tom last night, he is living his dream in America with the drag and drive community but is now skint again! His rear tyres have got about 2mm in them and were fresh!
