  1. How old were you when you first got into tree work? The longer you do something the more refined you become. I started in my late twenties with a pretty good level of fitness and was pretty much invincible for a while. I'm way more aware of failing body parts at 45. I only climb for surveying these days though so it might be a case of use it or lose it.

  3. It sounds like the church yard is fulfilling their 'duty of care' by having their trees surveyed. There is no reason for them to provide you with a copy of their report. Should the tree fail then your insurers will take it up with theirs.

Ooof, that could have been very bad. Sods law, spend all day using sharp things and then your dinner tries to kill you.

    EHIC Card

I get you. The point I was badly trying to get across, is you were covered for emergency treatment in Norway under EHIC, not any more under under GHIC scheme. To me that coveys a lower level of cover. Perhaps when I wrote 'It's not the same cover, the EHIC used to cover all, not a reduced proportion, of the cost of healthcare should you come a cropper in your day to day business," it would have been better expressed as 'It's not the same cover, the EHIC used to cover all, not a reduced proportion, of the cost of EMERGENCY healthcare should you come a cropper in your day to day business." Apologies for any crossed wires.

    EHIC Card

It's not the same cover, the EHIC used to cover all, not a reduced proportion, of the cost of healthcare should you come a cropper in your day to day business, it was a reciprocal arrangement. The GHIC is in no way conferring the same level of cover. If you're in Northern Ireland you could still make us of the benefits that an EHIC confers.
