How do they decide which ones to get up in arms about then? I remember there being a load of talk about the lack of free speech by the Trumpets prior to his elections.

You're going down a very slippery slope mate. When you've dug yourself into a hole the very first thing to do is stop digging, the next is looking to dig your way out. Braided line is a game changer. I use 80lb on my beach caster and I could probably drag a van with it. 15 - 20lb braid seems to be the sweet spot though, it's very fine but strong, it's what I use when hunting bass.

Anything you're doing with a silky should be manageable and you should be able to allow yourself enough time to stow your saw and handle the piece without fear of it breaking without control. Things differ slightly with a chainsaw but you know that.

Nope. The thing is, a hanging chainsaw (or an ice ace?) is unlikely to significantly damage a moving rope, a silky might well.

Aye, but generally there's a someone who can just tie on your silky if you do happen to drop it on a tree job, that's maybe trickier when navigating The Dru.. Whatever you do, don't try and grab it when it's falling handle first. A mate of mine was helping me out about a 12 years back, he'd never done tree work before, I passed him the silky and he proceeded to cut backwards towards his face and missed by 10mm if that. He's since gone on to climb all over the place.
