  1. Why can't you factor the expense of the extra two seats in your pricing? I have mates who work offshore on turbines, there is tons of money to be earned in specialist services. Up in rural Aberdeenshire you may be an exception, but I stand by the fact that 9/10 double cabs I see on the roads in England have seen next to no work.
  2. Fair enough, but do you really need two back seats to go milling? I get the height issue, I suppose that the back seat behind you would be pretty much redundant anyway, which negates the need for a double cab. I didn't buy a defender because I'm too big to use one for fun. Sometimes you have to compromise. I need to pay more for a decent sleeping bag or hammock because I'm tall, that's the perks of being tall. None of the photos (even the one with the different truck) explain why you need a double cab. I understand why you might want one but your business doesn't seem to need one, if it did then you would factor the increase in costs into the job and crack on.
  3. How many people do use them as tools when a single or king-cab would be a more effective 'tool'? In most industries I work with, people will rock up to the depot get in a van and a welfare van (might) will accompany them. Bigger firms will be able to cover the extra expense. I spend a lot of time on the road and 9/10 double cab pickups I see haven't seen any work. It looks like there'll be a few cheap ones in the coming months:
  4. Have a read through this^ The instructions on ecoplugs used to say that they could be applied horizontally. Ring barking might be an option. Or just keep removing the regrowth, it will die off eventually with no photosynthetic area (unless there are other limes nearby).
  5. Thanks Tom.
  6. I'm no expert but you would hope it was. If it isn't a war crime it should be.
