  1. Sorry. Am I not allowed a holiday. 1st one in 2 years may I ad.
  2. Demopark in Germany. Brilliant show as HSE didn't exist. You could have a go at using whatever you wanted. Buzz Anything is poss but the 550 without the Crane is 1700kgs. Might stretch even the biggest Mog that. 550U is the best option at 1300kgs with counterweights over rear axle (unless crane on rear). You also need h/d front axle on Mog. This is where you prob know more than me. Apparently its the one with more wheelnuts?.
  3. New Ford Ranger TDCI Duratorque Double Cab. Review. Purchased new in May and having done the best part of 5000 miles so far the Ranger has done nothing but impress. The Ranger is probably a bit more agricultural than the Navara or L200 but this is the benefit when it comes to using it for what it's meant for "work". The engine is a huge improvment over the one it replaces. Although torque and Hp figures are lower than the Navara it pulls like there's no tomorrow. Max torque is produced at only 1800 rpm which in 5th is 65mph. Ideal for towing that heavy load and an 80mph cruising speed comes in at about 2600rpm. We are averaging 35mpg with a mixture of towing and empty. Towing wins as well with a capability only matched by the Isuzu Rodeo at 3000kgs. The rear suspension is great and it doesn't sit low at the back even when loaded to the max, unlike the Navara which inverts the springs if you just think about putting something in the buck. It's comfy too if you need to do the miles. This vehicles first job was 400 miles to Scotland towing 2500kgs. I was upset when I got to my destination and wanted to go further. Thunder Spec. 2.5TDCI about 145Hp 5 speed manual. Leather, A/C, 6 CD, Elec mirrors, The best spec was the price £14500 + vat. That was a good £4000 cheaper than the equivalent Navara and as far as I could tell all the Navara could offer me as extra was built in Sat Nav. If your looking for a new 4x4 give one a try (no I'm not on commission at Ford) Also forgot to mention 3 years warranty and 3 years free servicing.

And that's puny compared to. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXojpcwlI78 If you want big, do it properly!!!
  5. The video isn't too good. Dodgy users and the angle of the camera made it look like they were leaning in far further than they actually did. It's the 3rd comment that's good. Made us laugh and sums it up nicely.
  6. I should charge. Lets give the competition some ideas! Doh!!!!!
  7. You and I know that, buts that not how the machines are sold to customers. Even the worst machines can sell well if the advertising is right. Can you see PREDATOR advetising the fact thats its good but not as good as a Carlton. Look at the number of Predator 50's sold to 7015 in the UK. The Predator is probably way out in front. My advice would be don't be too cheap and put the additional money into clever adverising and promotion. Just having the best spec will mean nothing to alot of customers.
  8. £25K'ISH and that's without the remote. Remote as an option is about £2k. Carlton 7015TRX with radio remote and sandvic head sells at around £28k.
  9. Not too sure. Steve's project. I look at the invoices and let you know. Grider itself is just a Sealey 8". It's the wheel that's special. I know it took him weeks to source.

    Morals.

I can't believe arse has been mentioned at least 10 times and Steve hasn't made a comment. Very unlike him to miss some ARSE!!
  11. Has he started already!!
  12. Thats why I stay on the ground!!
  13. Tell people TW's were good!!!
  14. Ed That's too cheap. With that spec you could be alot dearer and still sell it. If it's too cheap people ask why? Not always the best approach.
  15. I have to agree and probably know more than most. Saturn blades are made of the same steel and to exactly the same spec as TW blades. Tw will claim they have broken pattern blades with there test methods, but never one of their own. (I must have been seeing things all those years) I must also add I've seen pattern blades from some lesser known companies shatter into many pieces but Saturn are as good as they come. We've used and sold them for ages and never had one complaint.
  16. We use an 8" resin bonded diamond wheel on an 8" bench grinder. Cost about £250 but has done hundreds of teeth of all kinds and shows very little sign of wear. There is dust but it is minimal and with a dust mask on is safe.
  17. And for the rings. 10.5 Tonne Thor petrol. 3 YR Commercial warranty. 1 demo model available at £1500 + vat.
  18. Ah just the thing. Hakki Pilkie Hawk. 13hp Honda with 4 way split upto 10" material. 13" chain bar. 2.5MTR Conveyor. Bargain used 2006 machine £3250 + vat.
  19. If your wondering whats going on Skwerl said "There's also a minimum post count before you can have an avatar, apparently. I'm going to assume it's 10 posts so this will get me one post closer to my avatar!" Don't try it, it doesn,t work!!!!!!!!
