  2. sbtc. yeah 2/3rds crash and bang, rigged the stuff that was over the hedge and the stuff of the main gas line that runs through the new forest monkeyd. yes i was, i was asked to deadwood and tidy upabout 6 months ago after a large limb failed over the next door neighbours drive. there was lots of damage on top of the main limbs which had obviously weekend them and finally 2 loverly ganno brackets on each side, they had put in a new drive 12 years ago which i dont think had helped ictrees. yeah the big makita is great, easily runs a 28in bar(which its got at the moment), and find it realy nice to climb with logologist. no i sold it to rob dyer, and he paid farwells to come pick it up and drop it at his place(god knows how much it cost as chris had to make 2 trips because he couldnt get it all on in 1 load)

    oak

    i dismantled this oak on monday and went back to fell on tuesday morning, my groundy took these photos, but on monday my brother who is doing a photography degree came along, for one of his projects. he took 1200 and is sorting through them as we speak so il post the best when hes finished. heres a few of mine to get started.
  4. i usually do some yoga type stretches first thing in yhe morning, but never stretch before i climb
  5. as i said on another thread armor prus is brilliant but failing that liros hercules is very very good on it, though my friend swears by tenex
  6. i love arbormaster,think its a brilliant rope.much better than any marlow or yale 13mm stuff

    armor prus............ i personaly also like the liros hercules on arbormaster, 3.2 or 4.2 depending on my mood

  9. with the hobs and gcrs is there not a peice youcan cut in to the tree. obviously this only applies to take downs, but is this a built in fail safe
  10. winching tops out to leave habitat poles
  11. cant wait to start this woodland work.back cuts only and the superwinch are going to feature heavily
  12. yeah it does seem wrong, imagine leaving it on mrs smiths tree in her pristine garden..big big no no. i love the fact that we have the oppertunitys(very rarely in my case)to try these things and go against the grain
  13. it something different.....and i like it. ive always been a fan of the techniques david and his team use. taboo, who cares lets try somthing different from time to time
  14. that last picture is brilliant, got some woodland work coming up at a golf club so hoping to try some different stuff

  16. i try to look as professional and smart as possible, turning up for a days subbying and looking a mess doesnt get things off on the right foot
