  1. Caught my first bass last year. Codling should be about on our coast now, should stop:pcguru: and go fishing (never seems to happen!) Where is up here?
  2. Last years hol was spent fishing. Mack straight off the hook, cleaned and onto the barbie within 2 min
  3. Think the top handled thing might be down to the shop owner and his dealership. eg Stihl would not be happy if a franchise dealer sold a 200t to an untrained operator - if he had an accident HSE would trace the sale of the saw etc. My local dealer refused to sell 3 new 200t's to a company with no tickets. They went to the next dealer and baught them no prob! (they even went back to my local to get some spares cos he was cheaper :asshole2:). Turns out they actually baught the saws for a fencing contract
  4. Its nice when u can plant for a change
  5. Get Amber Leaf - Give u free papers so u dont need rizlas
  6. To reply to Ben's original - I actually got a 365 a couple of years ago because I had (have!) limited budget. Used the saw for most of my ground work with 15" and found nowt wrong with it. Bonus is that u can go to 24" bar which I have used a few times and u could say it gets the job done. The saw is heavy and would not recomend it for general forestry/lots of snedding etc, but I am pleased with it as an all rounder to get me going. Used 357's a bit last year. Knock spots off the 365 in the woods but 2 of the 4 saws we were using kept cutting out. If u want a top saw at both ends of the scale get two, if not the 365 is OK for both. (When i move on from the 365 i will be gettin 2 stihl's )

At the moment cant store more than 8 or 10 dumpy bags! Building up a working relationship with a local garden centre so that might lead to something more 'rewarding'

    Chips

Got an old customer just down the road from me that will take all the cippings I can give him for mulch(Doctor so bloody big garden). Any basic rule of thumb as far as what chippings should not be used? At the end of the day a lot of the stuff we work on has something wrong with it. Dont want to give him a nasty infection - hes not allowed to self prescribe
  18. Can anyone confirm that we can or cant wear A's to climb? About to replace my old C sips that wiegh a bloody tone!
  19. Wish someone would tell the wife that, beats the sh1t out of watching eastenders Better be carefull what I say, shes checking my posts now after finding my first arb dogs post!
  20. Thanks for the education - as normal. Will the degree of discolouration of the false hartwood on the limbs be related to the speed of decay on the main stem, ie do you think the heartwood on this one has gone relatively fast?
  21. Steve, Do you have to have your tongue out for it to work? (vt setup for saw)
  22. Prob cos hes even more shite at id than me and thinks they are all birch - some are even evergreen
