  1. I always make sure i'm down the pub once a week..
  2. Fresh fish shouldn't smell, mackrel should be eaten as soon as possible, if not the black gut linning will break the flesh down and also taint the flesh with a nasty smell.. My boy caught his first bass this year, way under size, but he was just pleased to catch one..
  3. I cut the fish as thin as I could with a salmon knife, it still tasted raw to me, not raw raw, but just weird. My fish came straight off a boat this morning, good job I saved a few for the pan, boy they were nice,I preffer mackrel and herrings to bass and cod..
  4. I'll get a price from BTS Ed, I was just wondering who else is out there..
  5. I've got a planting job coming up in a few weeks time. Nice job Andy
  6. Does anyone know a training org in East Anglia that provides the training and assessing for these tickets. Rough prices would be good too, thanks for any replies..

  8. I knocked a batch up today, no matter how often I try raw fish it simply isn't for me! the thing is ceviche, sashimi and sushi all look so tasty! http://www.tokind.com/ceviche.html
  9. Nice I like it Ian! i've got two guards from Fletcher Stewarts, their ok but not worth the money imo..
  10. Nice rides guys
  11. My fert rig would inject some life back into the tree,if she wanted to go whole hog we could verticle mulch the tree with our air-spade or simply decompact with our ''air reviter'' [compressed air decompactor] pm me if your interested Steve, or need some advice.. From my experience most people aren't so keen on great swaithes of mulch in the garden, and imo mulching now might take to much time to produce results, it sounds like to me your tree is already on borrowed time... Off topic guys a tad, but one word of warning guys, I was talking to a friend of mine the other day, he also carries out air-spade work, we both came to the conclusion that this tool possibly isn't the best tool for relieving compacted soil, the potential for the tree to blow over are too great in our opinion, i've seen air-spades used to decompact soil within the whole of the root zone, thats a lot of very relieved roots imo, now verticle mulching carried out properly is a different ball game..
  12. The second picture is a walnut that was looking very chlorotic..
  13. Here are a few pics of me and my co-worker Dan in action, applying fert to some heavily topiaried trees, we applied a cocktail of myccorhizae spores and various other macro and micro nutrients including cleated iron, we also included some slow release fert.. The slow release fert should last a whole season, the client says he has already seen the trees pick-up.. Mattyf put me on to this client, thanks again Matt,if anyone else requires the services of our PHC department [me and Dan lol] I can be contacted on 01473 461 367, we have a deep root fert rig, compressed air soil decompaction machine and air-pick..

  19. I agree, both are different to a degree, but surely they could be combined, imo you're spending valuable time going over and over the same stuff ie hazards, control etc etc Method statements i agree are documents relating to how you plan on undertaking a job , but you should still include risks and control.. Here are some examples of HSE risk assesments, if you have more than 3 brain cells you may well cry lol.. http://www.hse.gov.uk/risk/casestudies/pdf/bricklayers.pdf
  20. Does anyone have an example they can show us, I will post an example of both tomorrow.. Can anyone tell me what the difference between the two are? imo they both seem to be the same thing, or at least Ifeel i'm going over the same BS....
