  1. I haven't been looking for very long Peter, but I've been through all the usual routes Truck and plant trader, no second hand units anywhere. Funny because a mate of mine said there are loads of 2 in 1s out there
  2. One of these is what I'm after
  3. I don't suppose anyone would know where I could buy a 2 in1 tar and chip lorry, bitumen tank behind the cab, and gravel spreader and tar nozzles on the rear of the tipper. One pass job done I've been looking in plant trader but they never come up. Anyone else do tar and chip?
  4. Is basmati rice off the list? Oh well it was nice...
  5. It's all in your mind mate
  6. Get caught working in Oz with no visa and you'll never be allowed in, far better to email a few firms to see if you can get a few days experience with them for nowt. August can be a mixed month weather wise, I've known frosts best pack a jumper. I wouldn't base myself in Sydney its not that nice once you've done the tourist stuff, I'd base myself an hour north on the Central Coast, it has everything http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Coast_(New_South_Wales)
  7. House burglary has been pretty bad recently with the economy, I said to a mate in Donegal aren't certain nembers of the community putting a stop to this, he said sadly those days are over.
  8. Hi Ben, if the tree was indeed to big for its position and touching the two property's, may I suggest selective pruning ie only removing branches that are becoming a nuisance, less is most definitely the best! Leave all those fancy reductions alone even if they are cuts made back to growth points.
  9. 90% of domestic reductions are a waste of time (and crown thins are highly detrimental) all they do is act as a placebo for the client. Best not to get worked up about cowboy work as you put it, cowboy work has been about for longer than Shigo standards.
  10. I can assure you guys they do, I know a lot of Irish and have been over there many times, as of recent crime has been rife and the old paramilitaries do nothing about it as they're in on it! Its the same both sides of the border.
  11. Otzi the ice man was 45 when he was murdered, he was born over 5000 years ago, whilst he belonged to a semi agricultural society he was stoneage man, so I would hesitate they didn't die as young we may have thought
  12. Welcome to the world of the hunter gatherer, apparently we are wired to gorge until we're stuffed, this is how we get obesity, we simply don't know when or want to stop eating. Basically from what I've read we're meant to be hungry if we want to stay slim and trim, hence some cultures find being fat attractive, its a sign of a good hunter gatherer. A quality a mate would look for
  13. Thanks Rod I'll get it
  14. Many thanks guys, some very valuable information in those posts.
  15. Hi does anyone have any experience of pricing up a new build (4 bed 2 storey detached 100 metres ) I have been on Jewsons costing calculator and it says £1000 per metre for mid quality fittings , is this about right and would this include labour? I don't need to include the land price as I already have the plot. cheers guys Lee
  16. I teaspoon greek oregano or regular if can't get greek, 5 tablespoons of olive oil, juice one lemon, black pepper to taste, one teaspoon cumin, one teaspoon of ground coriander, I table spoon of Turkish red pepper paste, or I tablespoon of paprika and half teaspoon of chili powder, mix all together with a kilo of diced boneless lamb shoulder (boneless joints of lamb shoulder on special at Aldi) Charcoal grill for best taste or grill indoors if as usual the weather's inclement. Add salt after whilst grilling enjoy
  17. God I love turkish lamb sis kebab, anyone want the marinade recipe?
  18. Tut tut now go and wash your mouth out and remember never to use those two trucks in the same sentence....
  19. I'm in charcoal grilled lamb in the cold wind, with spits of rain, salad, grilled peppers and tomatoes, is that caveman enough for you lol
  20. 90% of the fruit and veg we eat today bears very little resemblance to the original, due to extensive selective cross breeding. Todays fruit and veg contain lots of sugars. To be on a true paleo diet, you need to be eating, crab apples, sloes, sea kale, medlers, nettles, seaweed, blackberries and road kill lol Not sweet potatoes and juicy hybrid raspberries..
  21. The Mediterranean diet is best imo
  22. Please give me the basics of this diet...
  23. The only two trucks I'd consider are the hilux or the dmax , I've had them all the rest are rubbish..
  24. Hi RB all the best for 2014 (roller)
  25. Not being funny, but I wouldn't even consider a vehicle at that price £2200, all you'll end up with is a pile of rubbish/problems. What I'd do is save up a few more grand and buy something hopefully more reliable, I'd then look for a cabstar because I've had them and they're good and reliable
