  1. Anyone got any calf cups for the above? Seems spares are available but will take a month to get here. Any help would be appreciated.
  2. Ok, so to tell the truthful side of the story(although it may slightly spoil Si's picture a little). After breaking my back over ten years ago, standing for long periods means I loose feeling in my legs, so after holding that rigging rope for about 20 minutes the urge to stretch was too much. Only at this point did Si cease his opportunity😜 I'm sure Dorthy Ingleton, RIP 1867 would of be glad to help.
  3. Good job you didn't see where the chipper was parked then. The other option would of been to leave a 60 foot limb to smash the hell out of around 10 headstones on a bank holiday Monday. Now that would of been disrespectful.
  4. Wow! That is some serious overhang! I hope you don't get pulled with it even half full!😳
  5. Cleared some space now!😜
  6. Check your PMs, I replied to you a while ago.
  7. Nice to see county spec on a commercial, not many around like that. Take care with rear axle weight overloading with that design though, get it updated to 3500kgs and it should help or you'll only be able to carry a couple of barrow loads in there👍
  8. If I were to make a bold statement, the driver is clearly a clueless idiot when it comes to driving a tractor!
  9. Now this I'm interested in! I've got this machine and had no stress troubles for a while but now I think it's beyond hope. In the past I've been suggested these units to retro fit but not seen one done. Is there any chance you could do a step by step thread on this when you do it?
  10. Cheers for that Rod, it's definitely an option rather than buying a wider poly and burying it.
  11. Hi Rod, sounds like yours is a similar size to mine. I've got my sides currently buried but it's to be moved shortly and been thinking of attaching plastic to rails and meshing the bottom like yours when it's rebuilt. Only think I'm concerned about though is, it's going to an exposed site and wondering how you anchor your hoops down? Obviously don't want the whole thing blowing away! Mine has "feet" at the bottom of the hoops that you knock in the ground about 10" but doubt these will hold on their own.
  12. I guess cutting at chest height saved cutting toes off👀
  13. You clearly underestimate yourself Ian. In years to come you will be pinned on the wall with the other tree greats. Rubbing shoulders with the likes of Jepsom, Baraneck and even Shigo, we will all carry the pride of knowing the UK has its own epic names to contribute to the world of Arb. 👍
  14. Nice vid there Ben, cheers👍 Hope you're well and keeping busy😎
  15. Looks like they found some weird two legged thing to throw a stick for them too!😎
  16. I had £25 in my head to be honest plus post. Let me know if that's any good. 👍
  17. I see. I think the way you do it was the old way I was taught, back in the days before ticket numbers it would be known as the 2 1/2 times bar fell ticket. Now known as big tree fell I believe. In this case the bore cut would be at back cut height to meet the back cut, enabling more than a bar length from each side of the stem, hence cutting a hinge over 2x bar length. I wouldn't normally say this was needed just to assist the pull/fall when reducing hinge length though, but guess it makes little difference as you say what height it's gutted out. 👍
  18. In what way Pete? I did the bore at the height of the base of the gob and back cut slightly higher. Would you cut differently? P.S, nice heap of firewood!😜
  19. It's simply a Yorkshire thing, we all do it that way😎
  20. So it hinged easier😎 I think one of the lads took a vid of it going over, I'll see if I can get it off him. It's unlikely it would of fallen on its own if the hinge was full width. Hope that explains. 👍
  21. Cheers Paul. 😎 As for you other two critics, you are so predictable!🌳 All will be revealed tomorrow. Remember, sometimes "what the customer wants" and all that!
