  2. "Bullman the Twig"!! Sort of a ring to it! LOL!
  3. Ok, stand easy young 'un, and ill have a look for it:thumbup1:
  4. At the moment im getting £60 for a 0.75m cu bag of green ash, and its flying out! I was told the other day, of a coal merchant selling coal at £200 per ton delivered. Not sure if that can be right as it must be cheaper than logs in terms of calorific value, but if people still want to buy wood, lets keep supplying it!
  5. The barts head is brill Alex! Even the customer came out (having never seen one before) and said it just looks like............ yes you guessed! Obviously due to the location it is expected to be a large talking point from visitors. Does anyone know of some real good info the customer could put on a board near to the monolith, explaing all the natural benifits of it? Not sure my explaination could be translated well enough to put on a board, but they would like to show the public they are willing to promote this type of environment. Any links or info would be appreciated.
  6. Perhaps those are the sort of prices we should all be aiming towards then there maybe reasonable "profit" in firewood:blushing:
  7. Sure looks cheap that one!
  8. Keeps coming up with cannot be found mate.
  9. Ive not even said we did it have I?
  10. You managed to get hold of a 362 Tommer, or do you mean 361?
  11. Just after your thoughts on this. On the frontage to a nice country hotel next to main walkway from the main road;

    Husky 372

Just wondering if anyone has any good or bad experiences with this saw? Also, in the present climate of exchange rates, would £600 inc VAT sound a good price for a 372xp with 20" bar?
  13. Not a big job, im sure 90% of saw users could fit another pump. As for use of oil, it cured the problem on mine. It used to run a bit dry when running longer bars, especially on such as ash.
  14. If anyone is concerned about low oil output on the 660, let me know and i can give you part number for high output pump. Think they are about £35.
  15. Nice one Pete, i have done mine before, but wondered if there were any major problems such as altering the temper of the steel.
  16. He used to be, but not so sure now.
  17. Alex, to give you a bit more on my story, i have already got 20 and 36 inch stihl bars so wanted one half way to run every day on the 660. Stihl only supply 25 or 30, so didnt think there was much difference from what i already had so looked for other brands. I found this 28" windsor with a dealer on e-bay at good money and he could supply windsor chain with it so here we are. I would say the saw has only had 12 or 15 tanks of fuel through since the new bar has been on, so a bit early to pass comment on the life span, but seems to be fine otherwise. Dont really want to put a link to e-bay on this thread to discredit suppliers on here, but if you want i can PM a link for you.
  18. Got a 28" on the 660 and all is well so far!
  19. Nice point about the pressure setting Pete, but what do you think about owner sharpening of rollers?
  20. Might need to bear with me a few days Ian, the chipper isnt at my house and it could be a couple of days before i get to it. If you dont hear anything by the weekend, remind me:blushing: As for whos nickers to raid, im not saying, she might suss me out:001_tt2:
  21. What year is it? Some pics would help you sell it too:thumbup1:
  22. Cheers for that Al, i might have a play with a chain somtime, not really for a great practical use, but would be nice to give it a go on the muffler modded 360:thumbup1:
  23. If the bungee bit is not too clear, let me know and ill get some pics of it for you. It really does make a difference:thumbup1:
  24. I sharpened both rollers on mine, and they have alternate spikes and knives on each roller. I took the top roller out and did it without removing from the motor, and did the bottom one in situe while the top was out. If you are concerned about the temper of the steel, just take it steady with the grinder, and dont "blue" the steel. Put a new spring on! I also put some elastic bungee inside the standard spring. Help a lot on downforce. If you want to go a bit mad, you can get 2 bits of bungee in:blushing:
