    Snow on the way!

Just driven home from Hants to Cannock Chase Staffs. Blizzard and near white out condtions on the M40 at 14:00 !! 1" here on the deck at home and still coming down hard but 60' lower off the Chase nothing is settling. Air temp is 0. I don't expect it to be any worse than just before Christmas, they just like to scaremonger because people are such useless pratts these days !
  4. Nick PM me your contact details so i can have a chat with you about tip sites. Ta Matt.
  5. Yes could be off putting that photo. You can of course lift and shift most things with that setup you just have to know what your doing, I'm sure you'll agree. I lifted some immense lumps of oak with my Botex, close in right behind the rear window and drove backwards witht he front wheels off the deck to stick them in a trailer lol.
  6. I have a spade I could lend you
  7. Oh yeah I've heard James Tonks mention that place. Will get on to that ta
  8. Whereabouts at Wall Island mate ? Chip and greenwaste ? Might have to check that one out !
  9. Hello mate I only live just outside Lichfield myself lol Will ask tomorrow as I'm going down to the office. A couple of places spring to mind. Is Shenstone to far to run for you ? Ta Matt.
  10. I've seen it Iain if you want to PM for the real deal LOL Just kidding, good bit of kit that is How much does it weigh empty Stevie ??
  11. LOL Isn't that true !! I reckon on reflection I learnt alot from the lads my Dad worked with and not all good !!
  12. Ditto what Skyhuck said, I have on occasion powered the chipper down to lift the arse end up enough to get something under the rear wheels. NOT recommended but it can get you out of the poo if needed lol

    Bloody muppets !!

What an idiot, i'm sure his mum would have been real proud of him if that had gone the other way, i was almost willing another train to come !! Clean the gene pool out, i did stupid shite when i was a teenager but nought like that !
  14. Unbelievable---and very lucky !! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1PxDmDILnQ&eurl]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1PxDmDILnQ&eurl[/ame]
  15. That is a brilliant point Stevie ! Angus, that setup is very usefull for handling roundwood I agree but I would advise against a 3 point linkage crane for Arb work they are just not upto the task. I have seen and heard of them shearing off. Great for small roundwood and feeding chippers. If money is tight build your own unit with a second hand lorry crane. It'll be slow but strong. You can pick up a timber trailer fro 2-3k in good nick.
  16. You could do mate, trouble is my parents never let me read it until i was 23 lol
  17. I think alot of it comes down to peer pressure quiet frankly, and i was never aloud to get in situations where i was out until all hours larking around and i don't intend my children to either. I had a great childhood though and spent most waking hours and school holidays with my dad driving diggers and tractors, drinking and everything that goes with it didn't start until college for me so i guess a lot can be said for your upbringing. What you do when your bringing up kids in a council estate in the middle of Glasgow etc god only knows !
  18. I completley agree with that statement, my children are 6 and 7 and it's awfull what they have worked out for themselves at such a tender age... My parents had a 'special' little book which was fairly graphic but answered alot of question lol
  19. Bit of research on the net will get you all you need, Farmi, Farma, Botex, Mowi the list is endless really ! Do you know John Tonks ?
  20. He's not interested in your old bondage kit Steve
  21. Your not wrong there ! I looked at U1300 before i owned my Mogs and was advised to steer well clear. Nice as a truck but i'm sure you could get something better and cheaper like Peter's.
  22. http://http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7855259.stm
  23. No Steve barely mentioned the suppliers, just interviewing a guy with 3 wood burning stoves, a short piece in a timber yeard, some muppet from the carbon trust and some miss-leading commision overlays. The usual poorly researched time filler !!
