1. Simple... no cash = no timber I think that's pretty clear? Once you've been bitten once you learn not to trust , to do so risks getting bitten again. That would be stupid. Enough time wasted on this discussion.
2.
Yes I've seen and replied to that. I'm not against the product per se, I'm have nothing but problems buying it locally, having to go out of my way to buy some if and when I want it. I have a 5litre can left to use on hedgetrimming work at the moment, I am giving it a fair try tbh.

3. Eddie, I'm not the one who empties the recycling bin, that's down to Mid Suffolk District Council, they're the ones who need education, not me. It's just one more thing that makes using the product a ballache, it's already expensive without extra hassles.
4. Ok Eddie, I take it you're fresh to the Aspen team? Welcome to our happy little gathering here. I think this product has a major flaw. It's not readily available over the counter in many areas. It's too expensive. The empty cans mount up, until I can make a specific trip to the tip to dispose of them. Since my earliest postings on this product, I have bought and tried it. £17 for 5 litres is ridiculously dear, moan about pump fuel going up, but this is dearer still. I have to travel quite some distance specifically to buy it, to an outlet I otherwise would not visit, as it's not on my regular circuit, more expense in time and fuel to get fuel. I washed out the empties and put them in my recycle bin, as it has the symbol for recycling on the can, my collectors removed them and put them back with a note that in future they would not empty the bin if they were in there, not too clever. That means a specific trip to the HWRC to dispose, more time and fuel. Hardly the greenest commodity any more IMO. Plus side, it does smell nice, if you like that smell, and it's claimed it is better for your health, but I'm always a little cynical about that kind of claim. Better for kit? Maybe it is, hard for me to see that though. So, will I go out of my way to buy Aspen fuel again, simply no...it's simply not a viable alternative for me over pump fuel.
5. Aside from all the trivial postings here, here's what I think. A chap I don't know, turns up to buy a load or two of timber from site, loads up his truck then says he can't pay me. I wouldn't be saying he doesn't want to owe me, cos he would be tipping it back off so I can sell it to someone else with the readies. No cash, no deal, simples. As it happens, on this occasion, the OP was good for his word, but how many times do we hear of someone getting stitched up with false promises....tomorrow never comes. The chap has maybe been caught before and was being upfront that he wouldn't be caught again IMO, not rude.
6. Good kit, I have a Tanaka single sidehedgetrimmer that must be ten years old now, and still cuts well, and runs reliably.
7. Times have moved on Ty, back when I was at school, (yeah we had a slate and chalk back then) you were expected to attend unless you were dead, and still take a note in next day, but these days the schools aren't responsible for your ill kids, that's down to the parents. Teachers are not trained nurses, or child minders, they are there to teach (a quote from a teacher on the radio the other day) . How can other pupils learn if there is a grizzly sniffly coughing kid in the corner disrupting the class? This is the modern way, and something you'll just have to factor into your working life.
8. Regardless of the fact you don't actually own a Stumpy any more, weld and grind the crack to ensure future reliability
9. Bought my little JoBeau M300 the same time as Stevie bought the GreenMenace, still going strong!! I'd put it side by side with the CS100 anyday. it's a strong reliable little beast, chips well and does what it says on the tin. It's not for sale, it's too good Seriously worth considering if you're in the market though, now available through Vermeer.
10. Good luck, stick at it, it has tough moments but it's worth it in the long run
11. Have you got any references available? Past employment history etc. Good opening post though and good luck.
12. Randomest answer to a non-question yet ??? and not a reply to the comment I made earlier. Strange.
13. Sorry I posted up 3 potential outlets before Xmas, which your company followed up and a grand total of 3 did not take on your product. Btw, how many tree surgeons have you recommended in the last few years?
14. I have a tow behind Wessex paddock topper, been very useful and reliable so far. I bought it sold as seen a couple of years ago, for scrap value, it's about 12 years old now. Still in good order.
15. I don't believe it will operate on Windows, just Android and Apple systems at present. Steve Bullman can explain it better than me if you need to know more.
16. I think some people forget what a tiny little industry Arb is, in the grand scheme of things. A tiny pond may have only so many fish swimming about in it, and it's not long before those fish have all bumped into each other in the course of time. The Internet makes it even quicker and easier to know who's who, who can be trusted and who can't.
17. I'm sort of glad you reported that about the ES gear, Rover, I was looking at trying some them next time.
18. B.L.X is in the "sort of unoffensive" line of words that I would consider borderline. As such, and at our discretion, it is left in. On another occasion, dependent on the tone of the poster, it may be removed. Encouraging someone to shoot a family on a public forum is not IMO borderline, it in extremely bad taste, joking or not.
19. I'm 6' 4", used to be built like a racing snake, I've always had the Stretch Airs in a regular length with no problems. So the extra length ones should do you well.
20. It's easy to threaten someone from the safety of the armchair, behind a keyboard. Record the details, everything is traceable, if you do get a "visit" then it may be some sort of evidence.
21. I did, it's not that hard. I pay an occasional "drag and chip" groundie £70 a day, to save me dragging and chipping. If he's really good I let him operate the Tirfor as a treat, but not too often as I don't want to spoil him with such luxuries.
22. Can't believe Colin isn't listed
23. This is one of those threads that should be bumped now and again, classical kit used for the job.
24. I'm friends with a few keepers, and some of the bow-shot deer that are around with arrows stuck through necks, jaws, or in their bodies and are still alive are distressing. Luckily most are so wounded that an easy target to cull them is presented, but still sad to see. Poaching is rife around here, so adherence to the letter of the law is out of the question. On a side not, I have a flat bow, which I still can't use following my little health episode, hoping to get it out again sometime this year.
25. If you own your own land, adhere to the "temporary planning" rules. A relation of mine has had "temporary planning" for the last 11 years. He was told if he applied for permanent, he definitely wouldn't get it. Ok, so every 5 years he has to re-submit an application, but it works. He's been Unofficially told that the status quo will continue so long as he's alive, then will be revoked upon death or leaving the land. Have some livestock to tend, lambs are probably best, though I know of someone who has rare breed pigs and that works for them, charcoal burning is another. Educate neighbours, parish council as to why you are wanting to live in such a way, get people onside. It's okay adopting the old "New Age Traveller" attitude, but be prepared for a whole load of hassles.
