  1. Nice work Roger. Big crappy tree for sure
  2. That's my neck of the woods. pm me if you do not get any joy elsewhere
  3. Not on my shift! The wire is there for a valid reason. Why would you want pressure to the cam when not loaded?
  4. Will the harness be suitable for the configuration you are indicating? Will they effect the working life or wear patterns of the bridge? or are you guessing.........
  5. Spelling is M c S h e f f r e y
  6. Special as in licking windows and voting liberal I bet:001_tongue:
  7. Luck or stupid, I think most thoughout our time in this industry have been both without realising. Like most I was bullet proof until i gaffed out and stuck a saw in my arm. Risk is measured by repercusions and likelyhood. I assess risks, minimising them to what I deam aceptable, but not fear them.
  8. Sounds painfull Dean, although I thought you would be used to handling little pricks by now
  9. not enough:001_cool:
  10. Buy a 6in chipper to wear it will be lighter:001_tongue:
  11. Or anther option is............ http://lmgtfy.com/?q=what+is+a+trango+cinch or http://lmgtfy.com/?q=what+is+a+ART+positioner hehehehehe
  12. Art positioner; http://www.treeworker.co.uk/acatalog/Advanced_Ropeclimbing_Technology_6.html Cinch;http://www.honeybros.com/index.php?sid=y296o33o22h26supmy4pa9r1w2mk3711&app=gbu0&ns=prodsearchp&gbu0--prodsearch--string=cinch&SUBMIT=Online+Store+Search
  13. I use a shunt above my ascender; no chest harness. For shorter ascents I don't see the point of them
  14. I'd not be a fan of a VT in that configuration. I would recomend something such as a croll or even with a closed cam such as a shunt. 100% reliable is a prerequisite for me
  15. Art positioners work well on wirecores apparently, not tried myself. I use the cinch on the leftside, no issues as yet
  16. Hitch, cinch or art positioner are preferable for me. They all can be released in a controlled fasion whilst under tension.
  17. As I say whenever anyone asks this question - TRY BEFORE YOU BUY! money and recomendations are worthless when is comes to personal comfort
  18. porting saws ; http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=1309&highlight=porting
  19. That looks sore. Not your nose picking finger I hope. How did it happen?
  20. no comment:scared1:
  21. your really a baboon?
  22. Focus, concentration and an attention to detail.
  23. I'm with Ed on this. I feel so shallow (and comfortable with it)
  24. Nice work. The hanger in the oak did not look too kind to deal with
  25. Tidy felling Nigel !
