  1. i think you're missing the point....why would they want to re-design what is in my opinion a spot on and finished product because someone wants to use it with a knot over a splice? simple answer is they wouldnt.
  2. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-_GUggGMmM&feature=related]YouTube - DLRW[/ame]
  3. for the long ascents gerry b's doubled ropewalker system
  4. yep i do mate....that was my 6 days work for the year:001_tongue: yes its the yale rope...and very very nice it is too
  5. by spare rope i assume you mean the retrieval line? its an old nylon rock climbing rope, doesnt snag very easily, so luckily no.
  6. indeed....think he managed to squeeze himself into the frame at least once:biggrin:
  7. This job took 6 days all in all at a nice relaxed pace. Spec was to deadwood and reduce the weight back on the moat side. Obvious hazard was the powerlines, not so much of a hazard as a hinderance as it limited the angle we could set the speedline at. Trees were ranged from 90-100ft Head cam footage shot with the drift x170 [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1b4cJQO5oAg]YouTube - speedlining.wmv[/ame] before and after pics
  8. mark....seriously re language...cant you take the hint?
  9. that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. the hitch climber is designed for a specific purpose(which involves a splice), why not just buy a regular pulley and use that? problem solved, plus its cheaper for you
  10. finally finished the beech trees today....now going through the hours and hours of footage i got over the past week to hopefully make an interesting 10 minute clip:001_smile: also a 5 minute jobby we squeezed in at the end of the day at another site
  11. Dynamic ropes have high stretch...not really suitable for arbwork, more rock climbing where you might take a fall. static, no stretch......used for srt ascents...speedlining....maybe other stuff that i cant think of right now. i guess semi static would be the nearest description for what we climb with....low stretch rope
  12. it cleary lists spliced and unspliced ropes on their website......schoolboy error danny:001_tongue:
  13. gorgeous mate! congratulations
  14. yes but they were just plain yellow. dont think they had the reflective bits on them? i may be wrong
  15. when did they start doing them with reflective material? they're nice shirts them....about all i climb in, and mine are all 2 years plus, they hold up very well.
  16. have you checked it definately got sent.....justins always spot on, but bearing in mind his wife went into labour last week you never know!?
  17. ive seen videos in the past where they show a video within a video.....does anyone know what software does this? i havent checked yet but im guessing its beyond the capabilities of windows movie maker. cheers
  18. well...i can confirm that the x170 is not only waterproof....but it also floats
  19. does that mean you wont be in for those 2 days i booked you for?
