in some cases no doubt the companies are just tight....but in most cases, they are probably pricing tight just to get the work and thus going for the cheaper unexperienced staff(which are always available)

theres simply a lot of people out there who are desperate for work....lots at different stages in their lives. a young lad, 18 year old, living with parents, no expenses can afford to go out doing private work all day long, be chuffed to bits to earn £150.....look at an older guy for example, mortgage, kids, overheads..they have no chance! doesnt mean the young guy is undercutting particularly....selling himself short maybe yes, and not doing the industry much good in the long run

well i was contemplating going out for a drink tonight, but the day has ended in me catching my daughters ailment from last week and am now coughing my guts up to the point of gagging!!! nice!! didnt feel quite right at capel, put it down to being stressed and over tired(and slightly hungover the second day), but i guess i was coming down with it the whole time

i think this is a good point. i dont think an arborist needs to be particularly fit....i know im certainly not. i think the key thing in climbing is aggression...but more importantly channelling that aggression.........it can go 1 of 2 ways....make you fustrated and do a poor job(to the point of giving up)....or if channelled properly, see you fight through the most arduous task you can think of. hope that makes sense(it does in my head)
