course it goes without saying, it needs to be something with a lot of promise for a 3rd party to want to get involved

well depends on what you have invented! im no expert, but ive watched others how they go about it and the way i see it is you have 2 choices.... 1. go it alone, finance the whole thing yourself, go through the headaches and expenses of patenting etc etc, maybe end up with a product that starts earning you money somewhere down the line...maybe end up bust. 2. out source it to a bigger company who will work alongside you with the design etc but do the legwork with regards the other stuff. sit back and take a small percentage of every sale. personally i'd probably go with number 2

let me see, off the top of my head to date..... ive had 3 different makes of boots ive had issues with....my petzl sequoia waist belt ripped after a very short period, my treemotion had the known issues with it, a treemagic that also had stitching problems, ive had a falteimer cube that the rods broke on and also pierced the outer material in a relatively short space of time, ive picked up several karabiners at shows all from the well known manufacturers that probably wouldnt have undergone a rigorous loler test due to not autolocking everytime, ive had ropes that have had noticeable imperfections in them, im not sure all these things would be classed as 'cheap copies'?

i looked at the same thing at the east of england show last year, im sure they were £80...i should have bought them there

ive seen these before and have considered getting some made. id shop around though, £130 seems a little steep. if you want a deal, keep an eye out at the big shows(suffolk show for example or your equivelant), theres often a stand offering these at such events.

i finally bought one of these the other day after putting it off for ages(mostly due to price), but it really is fantastic....wheel all my stuff into peoples back gardens now and have a super comfy seat for lunch, almost fell asleep yesterday Equipment Storage and Transport - Treeworker.co.uk
