Inspirational places you've worked at

Took the team over to Burnham Beeches last week.

We got the opportunity to open up the canopies around some of the 500 yr old Beech Pollards.

The site is one of the most important ancient woodlands in the Uk, (The area is protected as a National Nature Reserve, Site of Special Scientific Interest and a candidate Special Area of Conservation) and I feel priveleged, not just to have been there but actually left a fingerprint (all be it tiny) on the fantastic management of what is a national Gem.

Awesome place

Wow. I've read about burnham beeches and wanted to go for so long. Thanks for the pics.

Windsor Great Park, on the trail of Herne's Oak. Probably after reading the first of Thomas Packenham's (is that right?) 'Meetings with Remarkable Trees' books. The start of a tremendous journey that I feel I've still barely started.

great pics monkeyd...

I have had the privelege of working at some great national trust sites.

At Croft Castle

and Berrington Hall

and Brockhampton Estate

and The Weir

and a few other more local sites like Croome park, Spetchley Estate and Shrawley estate...

It has been the best part of the job to date working at these places. The oaks and chestnuts at Croft are amazing.
