anyone else getting these storms?

we don't get that many lightning storms in the berkshire area but tonight it has been quite active. i've never known thunder and lightning to set off car alarms so easily...

 

 

i'd love to watch the lightning if i didn't want some sleep.

Just starting to rain in Norfolk, thunder and hail on the way apparently!! Just ready for the weekend.

About 04.00 this morning we had thunder but no rain, that came later about 07.00 but didn't last long.

Us too. Lightening for 2-3 hours. Initially the rain was tropical, putting down two inches outside our patio doors in half an hour.

 

I think Manchester Fire service had over fifty odd calls for flooding.

We had an epic storm in sheffield earlier in the week, there was even a tornado! Got woken this around 4am by more thunder and lightening right overhead, bang and flash at the same time, it was awesome!

Was out towards East Anglia today and had the works, floods, lightening, thunder and torrential rain - not a fun journey:thumbdown:

we had nearly a foot of rain in only 6-7 hours according to the news.

 

my virgin V-boxHD has been knackered by a lightning strike...

 

the box seem to work as the channel numbers pop up on the front and i can even turn it off again but the hdmi port is kaput... cable works fine and so do the 3 ports on the back of the tv as i've tested it all with my bluray player.

 

just a bit unlucky that i happened to be watching the tv when a huge flash of lightning struck...

 

boy was i bored from 3am onwards...

 

i have been watching the paralympics but it'll be back to watching some movies tonight.
