Try to use a tyre place that deals with ag and commercial customers you will get far more sense out of them than a car garage we just read the numbers off the side down the phone and they tell us exactly what the tyre is on and what we need whether its a tractor pickup lorry ifor low loader they always know perfectly with no confusion over load ratings and what not

The load rating is pretty important. Whilst the rating might be 670kg and most average chippers are a similar weight to a small car.

 

A car has four wheels and it has far superior suspension and shock absorbing abilities in comparison to an indispension unit.

 

The way some drivers drag chippers over bumpy roads and speed humps I'm surprised we don't hear of more blow outs
