I've heard horror stories about cracks in chassis and engine mounts , anyone else heard of anything like this ?

That sounds a bit strong!!

A little bit of metal cracking isn't uncommon on any chipper and if regular maintenance is carried out it should get to be any more than a little crack!

I am like you tom, i have a 220mx and absolutely love it, but could do with a tracked machine. I am looking at the tr8, like you have tried and am very impressed. I have heard alot of positive stories and a couple of minor issues with Forst. Good luck with your decision

Yeah, had a go on it paul and was very impressed. Dealer is not a million miles away too.

I've got the TR6 and 200 hours in we have no complaints at all

 

A kev...well if you hadn't held up the salesman asking for some more sun glasses I mite have a TR6 but all things happen for a reason and decided on the new greenmech 130 MK 2.hope all good with you and the lads and just to say good company last weekend

I've run Schleising Chippers for 30 years and wouldn't change for any reason. I'm sure the forst is excellent but if it ain't broke why fix it.

The Forst has a bigger engine, therefore it's not a like for like comparison.
