I think he’s a bit of a buffoon and I think a President should have had previous experience as a politician. However he raises important questions about how certain cultures integrate in the West….. He’s certainly a lot better than the rest of the politicians that declare Islamic State has nothing to do with Islam……

I think we’d all agree that something is “broken” with politics when someone like Trump could realistically be the next American President.

It's not just politics that is broken.... The whole world is broken. We just happen to live in one of the more "sheltered" parts of the brokenness.

There really isn't much to choose from really..... A egotistical raving madman or a liberal shapeshifter with the morals of a Mississippi steamboat gambler.

Some choice.

We're all doomed, I tell you, all doomed.

I prophesise that within a few short years we won't be so sheltered and it will be a whole lot worse.

I don't think political experience is a prerequisite. He'll have aids and minders to manage the paperwork and hold his hand. It's the willingness to make full use of the powers of the office that is key, the details are managed by underlings. If he only does one think in office - abolish the federal EPA it will be worth it. That, and firmly establish that the emperor has no clothes (the emperor here being the nebulous social conditioning of denial, PC, fear of censure, etc etc, that afflicts the West) - and he's already pretty much achieved that.

You are correct. The carpetbagger from AR is more realistic term than steam boat gambler, IMHO.
