Are we talking about drill cleaning or hang over cures :)

 

I would substitute the strong mints for paracetamol for the hangover cure:sneaky2:

 

I use a foil tray as well (the ones you use for turkey at christmas)

One part molasses to 9 parts water leave to soak for days.Take out wash with water and rub with old toothbrush. Resoak as needed. Repeat.

I have removed heavy pitted rust, tractor wheels and parts this way. It is gentle and only attacks the rust particles.

When you have washed them off and they are to your standard. Dry throughly,quickly and oil. The steel is so pure it will rust before your eyes.

Whatever method you find best please report your conclusion.

Cheap coca cola works.

If not find a rust removal gel or spray that people use on car parts.

 

Something like Iron - X will work, be warned it stinks!
