Just wondering if anyone had any preferences in what make of files they use?

I just buy and use the oregon ones and havent really thought about it, but I was thinking if some last longer than others or give a better edge.

Anyone notice a difference?

Oregon Files are vallorbes premium double cut file [the best they make] File storage is important, don't throw in your tool box to rattle around keep spare files in their individual wrapping in a box.

Rotate files regularly to get even wear and longer life.

And use the length of the file in each stroke of the tooth.

If you have a lot to take off use a file vice in a bench vice, this allows for a hard even push with both hands.

Files don't go off ask your dealer for a deal on say 3-6 dozen + .

new files stay in the box in my bag, files that are used but good, are kept in my bag in a straw. . . a tip i picked up off here :)

I like the straw tip. :thumbup1:

I put a different coloured handle on each size file, easy to pull the right one out at a glance. :001_smile:
