I'm suprised, it's going to be lumpy for you. Maybe at least bring the tissue closer with dressing I would of thought, but what would I know, I'm not even a tree surgeon.

Had a dressing on it for four days after it happened, took that picture on Sunday one week after it happened.

Angry grinders is a good name, they scare the bejesus out of me.

That leg wound doesn't help either. Ouch!

I have noticed in recent years new power tools often give off I am burning out type smells for the first hour or so. On the other hand they could just be Chinese crap.

 

Did that wound come from a thin inox type cutting disc. Those discs are brilliant but if they bite they can do some serious damage.

I have a Bosch 115mm, that must be 20 yr old and still going strong. That said I also have a Makita 225 mm that's about 10 yr old and still just as good.

Fortunately it was just one of the standard cutting discs, think they are 3mm, thing is I had just had one of the thin cutting discs 1 mm I think in it.

 

Knew It was a good one when I looked at the wound straight after I had done it and saw the skin layer, capillary layer and then through the fat layer, quickly emptied two satchels of saline into it, then put an Iodine mesh on (brilliant things) then wrapped in a field dressing.

Definitely go metabo for angle grinders smoothest grinder ive ever used and built like a tank either russian german manafacture definitely would recommend over anything else

Weirdly I've had 2 Metabo tools give me lots of grief and won't touch them now. Rattly and vibey grinder, and a top of the range SDS drill that went pop after no work whatsoever.
